You see the tallow shown and described in relation to the commands of Leviticus 3:17 and 7:23, and I raise your awareness about avoiding eating the fat, the tallow.

Good video, but I wish you would have expanded upon this, by citing certain passages in Scripture where this issue is discussed, so that the listening audience can go and do their homework.

This is not tallow. This is suet. Suet is the raw fat. Tallow is rendered fat. Suet is the fat pictured. If you were to heat this fat in a crockpot or over low heat you would render the suet into tallow. Either way we aren’t to eat it. Thank you for this video.

Thank you, for sharing that I was just listening to Leviticus on CD and wondering what fat it mentioned. I would think that the animals they killed for sacrifice won't have too much extra fat on being grass feed for most part of their lives.

The fat from the lamb ribs is fine? I usually gather the oil after cooking lamb breast in case I need it for something like candles and other projects… this fat is permitted to be eaten? Todah and Shalom!

I thought the New Testament made the laws in the Old Testament obsolete. I had no idea we were not supposed to eat beef fat. I’ve been told that fat has a lot of benefit in helping the body to heal, balancing hormones, as well as being an excellent source of energy. I’m not really sure what I should and shouldn’t eat now. So if we eat a steak, are we supposed to cut the fat off before we consume it? I’ve actually been trying to eat steaks with fat on them to help give me a little more energy. Should I start removing the excess fat from steaks and beef roasts? Should I also refrain from having pork?

Ok, so this is different from the fat that renders in bone broth. The fat I scoop off of the top and set aside is very greasy and soft, even refrigerated. It's not waxy. Whether it was ok to continue using it is a question that came up today when I read Leviticus 3. My husband and I are new to Torah observance. We're implementing as we learn.

It is not advised that you observe the Torah, the old covenant is dead you are making the same mistake as the synagogue of Satan and wresting the scripture unto your own destruction

Here's where I'm confused. 3:6,12 and 7:25 make it seem as if this only applies to food being sacrificed. 7:24 and 3:17 make it seem as something period. Then in Deut 32:14 a gift to Jacob was the fat of lambs. I'm confused.

I am reading it only applies to an animal that was sacrificially consecrated to YHWH, I did post another comment on this thread going into the details as to why I concluded that. Great discussion

@@user-rm7zf4bw2b, no, Abraham, Jacob, and even Noah kept the food laws. Noah knew the the difference between clean and unclean when he gather the animals. Noah made a sacrifice when he left the ark. And the books that were originally included in the scriptures until the mid-1800s elaborate further on this topic..

@followerofyahushua310115 күн бұрын
@@user-rm7zf4bw2b Here is a place to start, and there are several other scriptures. These are the list that are in the old covenant. * Numbers 21:14, * 1 Chronicles 29:29, * 2 Chronicles 9:29 * 2 Chronicles 12:15, * 2 Chronicles 20:34, * Esther 10:2 . * Book of Jehu-2 Chr 20:34, * Book of Jasper-Jos. 10:13, * Wars of YaHU'aH-Numbers 21:14, * Gad and Nathan - 1Chron 29:29, * Iddo Ahijah Nathan-2 Chron 9:29 , * Vision of Isaiah - 2 Chron 32:32, * Epistle of Laodisiah, - Col 4:16, * Shemaiah- 2 Chron, 12:15, •Sayings of the Seers - 2Chron. 33:19, Manner of the kingdom -1 Sam10:25, * Chronicles of Media and Persia-Esther10:2, * Acts of Solomon- 1 Kings11:41, * Book of Iddo Genealogy- 2 Chronicles 13:22. And none of these are in what we know as the Apocrypha so we missing a whole library of writing by our ancestors!!! 1 Corrinthians 5:9 Paul mention an epistle he wrote to the Corinthians before he wrote to them the 1st epistle. In Colossians 4:16 Paul mention Epistle of Laodicea to Colossians. There was never a 66 books bible not till in 1800’s when British Bible Society removed other books of the bible. KJV was published in 1611 and it never had 66 books. KJV was not the first English version. We understand that the KJV published in 1611 had 80 books which some were later removed. Some of the books in the Apocrypha are: Books of the Apocrypha. 1 Esdras and 2 Esdras (150-100 BC) Tobit (200 BC) Judith (150 BC) Additions to Esther (Vulgate Esther 10:4 - 16:24) (140-130 BC) Wisdom of Solomon (30 BC) ... Books of the Pseudepigrapha. Epistle of Barnabas. 3 Maccabees. 4 Maccabees. Assumption of Moses (Testament of Moses) Book of Enoch. Now we should ask ourselves why were they removed? What doctrine started being taught around that time?

Shalom, I think I see something that is being missed. In Lev 7:22-25 Vs 24 "dies naturally" does not apply to butchering. This is not the natural slaughtering of an animal as the word is nᵊḇēlâ and is the same word used in Deut 14:21. This is an animal "found dead of seeming natural causes" it was forbidden to eat period thus it could NOT be a slaughtered animal which could lawfully be eaten. Thereby going through every verse you presented this fat, kidneys, and liver were only not to be eaten from an animal consecrated to YHWH as a sacrifice. Ex 29:22 specially indicates the Ram is consecrated to YHWH, and that is why the prohibition was made, the same with Lev 3, Lev 7 , and even with Abel's fat offering in Gen. I looked up and Jews today, which I know are hard to trust, however they do eat kidneys and liver is prepared in a kosher manner. What do you think of this? As it seems this fat prohibition which includes liver and kidneys applies only to an animal that is consecrated to YHWH when you look at all the verses together contextually.

what about fat that is in cereals or bread like saturated or trans fat, almost everything contains fat even apples do, but is it just the specific type of fat mentioned in Leviticus the suet or tallow. But here is the thing, if fat mentioned means any fat how can we eat because almost everything contains saturated polyunsaturated or trans fat.

And if we dont have any fat to eat(like the fat in fruits or vegetables) it can be dangerous and we might die. But I dont think we should eat any fat from meats like steak.

@AlphaStudios-lh1rz2 ай бұрын
Liver? I see no problem with that, as long as there is no blood or fet in it.
@tamigreever68522 ай бұрын
This demonstration is faulty. It shows suet that it is found around the kidneys. The kidneys are a main body filter; so it makes sense that this could hold toxins. This is not tallow; which is rendered fat --even fat from the inner muscular structure. It is important to remember that fat is throughout the meat of animals; it is called marbling. The hamburger is processed according to ratios; 70/30; 80/20 are examples. 90/10 is miserable to eat (dry). Fat heals the body. Said again. . .fat heals the body. Protein builds the body. They work together perfectly--as God knows by the way He gave the animals for sinners to eat. I'm a sinner. My carnivore diet has healed a goiter, given me toe and finger nails that previously would not grow, created peace in my mind, and so much more. If all fat was gone from our diets, we would suffer! Butter=fat; Unprocessed milk=fat; cheese/sour cream/cream cheese=fat; olive oil=fat; and as discussed, meat has fat. Try eating a salmon and removing all the fat. The fish oil is throughout.
