What is the iPROBE??

What the heck is the iPROBE?? You may have heard of it, but what does it do that's different than a standard avalanche rescue probe?
In this video, we explain what the PIEPS iPROBE II is and how it works.
All other avalanche probes on the market are a simple mechanical tool. The iPROBE adds an avalanche receiver that can detect the proximity of a buried avalanche transceiver and provide an electronic "hit" within a 1m diameter range, allowing the rescuers to pinpoint an avalanche victim more quickly.

pieps can't even make a working transceiver

If you're referring to the "Pieps transceiver controversy of 2020", not defending how the company handled that, but FYI their current generation of transceivers that have been out for a couple of years now do work very well and are not subject to the same issue at all. Not defending, just sayin'.
