Not trying to discredit Karina in any way, but her case doesn't scream MissA or 4minutes vibe. Winter is just has popular as her. If anything, Karina is the new Lisa. In terms of recognization. People who first get into Aespa already know Karina name, but after sometime they either start stanning Winter or the other girls. The same way people be stanning Jennie. Karina is the face of the group, but her popularity isn't doesn't overshadow the other members to the point of people not knowing their basic name.

As a Karina Stan myself yes Karina is the most pushed in black mamba era but now it all end coz every girl has time to shine right now. Their line distribution is fair , screen time distribution is fair. Giselle get a Collab with NCT members. Ningning has showcased her singing and has a cover. Winter get to perform 3 stages and has a Collab stage with DJ raiden. Even she cover boa's peace b No matter what support our girls Karina is the it girl of this generation.

Reminds me of Nct's Taeyong situation people used to call him SM's fav and the most pushed member(they still call him tho) and look at him now being one of the most talented k-pop idol out there who can sing, dance, rap, write, produce, compose, choreograph and direct. This is going to be really long but I have a lot of thoughts about this so I thought I'd leave a comment. I'm a predebut aespa fan and Karina is my ultimate bias now. She doesn't get treated as good as it may seem from outside the fandom, especially her own subfandom. - SM stood up for her once they haven't been protecting her (nor any of the members) from the nasty comments since. Even the son of a government official was exposed for saying things about her but nothing was done to ensure her wellbeing. - They often don't post Karina's pictures on social media, or post them and delete them later without giving a reason while keepnig the other member's posts up. - Since debut, two of her birthdays passed and while the other members got contents like special birthday videos posted to KZfaq and Twitter, Karina got a short video on an Instagram story last year, and nothing this year. She asked if she could hold a birthday event (like a livestream) but she revealed on Bubble that the company told her no. - While the other members are allowed to experiment with hairstyles and styling, she's been restricted to the exact same hairstyle for the past 2 years now. Even when she changed her hairstyle during the short break they took this year, SM dyed her hair back to a dark color, straightened it and added extensions to make it look exactly as it was before. Also, I don't think aespa will be anything like 4minute. Karina cares so much about her members, there's one clip that really stuck with me that proves it. During their appearance on Knowing Bros, they'd give small individual talent showcases as a segment on the show where all 4 of them prepared a little performance. During Ningning's vocal performance, Karina was sitting behind her and she stood up to walk the side. You can hear one of the hosts quietly asking her why, and her replying that people should focus on Ningning only so she didn't want to be in frame. She's also always affectionate with the other girls, both times they went to an airport she'd be making sure everyone is alright when the crowd got too close to them. Ningning also mentioned on a radio show that since she's a foreigner, she needed a lot of help to adjust to life in Korea and Karina is someone she's thankful for because she helps her a lot. Both Winter and Giselle also often mention Karina's kindness especially whenever they write letters to each other as part of a variety show or special event. Karina is a wonderful and sweet girl, she doesn't only shower her fans with love and care but her members and everyone around her in her life. Countless stories about her childhood are out there, people always talk about how nice and thoughtful she is, and share small endearing details about how she treats others even if she's not personally close to them. She deserves absolutely none of the hate she's ever gotten. I really hope as aespa grows our fandom will too, so one day our love astronomically outweighs the hate. At this point they still see it, and we know because they tell MYs. They talked about it as recently as after the Coachella performance. If you're not a fan of aespa, I hope you can find it in you not to be so harsh on them. They debuted during a pandemic, they don't have much experience being an idol yet, but they're working hard and they're all really kind and loving people. Karina being the leader of such a wonderful group makes so much sense because they all take after her in some ways. She's not much older than the other members but it feels like she's really mature for her age, she's self-aware but uses the position she's in to spread kindness and love every single day, she deserves the same treatment.

If her bias ever had a dating rumor, she hated that female to death. She was one of those people.
