Is it recommended to run your 4k player in to the soundbar or is it better to run 4k player in to another hdmi input on the tv?

Hi I have a 4.1 lg soundbar. My lg oled tv finds it but the bar turns itself off when trying to connect ...any ideas please

I’ve purchased an LG 55B8S and the LG SK9Y soundbar, but the TV stand is rather large which makes the sound bar look unwieldy and out of place. Is there a LG bracket available to integrate the TV with the soundbar as was available on previous LG TV’s and soundbars?

ABDUL RAZAK BIN MAMAT I’m very pleased with my LG SK9Y purchase. The sound is very good with many presets to choose from. The ‘movie’ pre set has a particularly high base sound where as others not so. I have used ARC HDMI for connection to the TV which I’m lead to believe is far better connection than the optical lead option. I purchased a TV pedestal from Amazon to replace the accompanying LG TV stand so I could fit the SK9Y sound bar directly in front of the TV like it is in the KZfaq video above. A very neat and visually satisfying job complete if I might say so😉

@@666DW thanks for your opinion. Already got this soundbar 4 days ago. It's awesome soundbar ❤️❤️❤️ Just want to know - if we play movie with Atmos audio, LED will display Dolby Atmos? Mine is LED display HDMI IN, not Dolby Atmos.

ABDUL RAZAK BIN MAMAT not sure what you’re referring to ‘LED’? Dolby Atmos is by default if using HDMI ARC mode, which gives far better sound. I used Bluetooth connection from my iPhone recently which has resulted in a drop in volume when returning back to using HDMI ARC. I’ve changed sound settings which has not reinstated previous sound volume level which is puzzling!😐

Hello, hoping someone can give me some useful advice. I have the soundbar and the speakers. I have an issue though, when it comes to the voices. They seem at times to be lower/softer than the backround sounds or music. So much so that it's not easy to hear what peole are saying. I have tried different settings, from standard, to music, movie etc and even turning up the center speakers but no luck... Thanks!

Did you ever figure it out. I have these on the way, because I had the same issue with the last soundbar I had, and I don’t want this one to have that same issue

TravionMusic actually, not really. I contacted LG and they said that it was a known issue. It would be fixed in a future update. After that, there was an update but I don’t think it helped that much. I did change the settings of the different speakers. I set the center speaker as highest (6dB). The others I set lower overhead (3dB) and rear (4dB). Rear speaker output= original sound. Sound effect= Movie This to my feeling works a bit better. Though not 100% as I’d like to. I hope that they come with an update soon. The update I mentioned earlier was a few moths ago. Careful guys. You can't buy the surround speakers anymore in most of Europe. There are some few speakers floating around at a quite high price but it looks like that LG ditched it so the soundber itself (including the SK10Y) is kinda useless now!

@@user-ji4jy2gp1e What I could find out: Noone knows and LG doesn't care to ellaborate. I mean they were on the market for only like ~9 months befor they went End of Life... :(

No plugs or wires showing. Didn't realise lg hardware was self powered.
