I saw “play date” a year ago, but at that moment I did not understand the meaning, because of my poor knowledge of English. However, when I watched this animation again, it made me cry for probably an hour.. I doubt that these characters will meet again, but this animation warms my soul and makes cry in the same time. It's funny because "you find little pickle town when you most need it." When I first discovered this series (a couple years ago) I was at one of my lowest points, and this series is so comforting and inspirational. It's just so nice to relate to characters and be comforted along with them throughout it.

i'm not usually interested in ocs but your this series is really something else. Everyone feels human and relatable, i adore all of the animatics and the cozy healing vibe of the town is really comforting. Maybe i am looking too deep but with my declining mental state from school works and exams, this series gave me hope that tomorrow will be better. Little Pickle Town has been a source of comfort for me over the years and it inspired me to do more then just simple characters that I use in roleplays and giving them connections, history, secrets and etc. This series did more emotional impact than most media I enjoy and it's saying a lot, I have not feel my heart dropped into a pit after watching playdate animatic and ill be honest i forgot this is a review because i was so into the lore dropping you provided

I relate to these characters so much, and these animations-like little pickle town-are slowly helping me overcome my trauma and fears, so for that I owe you enteral gratitude!!

I really like Little Pickle Town. This story about tired and broken people, that live in a little and quiet town give me some peace and relaxation. Im living in little town too so this atmosphere is very close to me, I really love this place and I'm afraid, that soon i have to move to big city to get a higher education. My parents hate this place because of very hot summers, so soon they're going to sell the house, where I have been living since my early childhood. I'm afraid of this too, I can't imagine me being happy in a big city. Maybe, Little Pickle Town will be saving me in these years. This story had been inspiring me since it's beginning, I remember that times, when this channel had only three or five animatics. Your style inspiring me too, i really love colours that you use in your art. Your characters are so nice that I can't stop smiling while I'm looking at them. Thank you so much for Little Pickle Town. As a Filipino who grew up more in the big city, it’s always nice to visit my grandparents who live much farther out into the woods and just genuinely experience a simple life instead of what it’s like with all the markets and streets that make me feel claustrophobic, the setting You’ve picked is somewhat a hybrid of both of those

I don't know why but this made me cry, I love Little Pickle town so much, it gives me some comfort, and I personally relate to some of the character especially Io, thank you for making this, I'm so proud of you.

i am refraining myself from watching this all the way through at 3am, you do not know how much this series means to me and my friend. i first found little pickle town a while ago and introduced it to my friend who was just as ecstatic about the story as i was, we would watch an ep together and re-watch and spend like half an hour discussing these silly little characters and silly little animatics, like your and lenas world building and character design are outstanding, you've created such real characters and have portrayed them so well in such short videos, i resonate with a lot of them and so does my friend because both of your understanding of plot and story and character is outstanding. like you guys both have such power with your drawings and characters that you know how to pack a punch right into my gut with just a picture and some lyrics, like.. ugh.. the world design is so pretty and I love how the characters are all so vivid and cozy, like they belong there, they fit the aesthetic you guys are going for while being incredibly unique and of course, not without flaws, which is what makes a character real in the first place. I remember when playdate came out, I very excitedly waited for my friend to be available so we could watch it together (we have a rule of watching LPT videos together so we can discuss them with our raw reaction) and oh my god we both have never cried harder, we re-watched it in silence and spend I think like, 45 minutes of our time discussing it and re-watching it.. your stories mean SO MUCH TO US and I am very excited that we get a video explaining the lore and characters!! Ah!!

I think it is ironic, really, because there is more depth to what Little Pickle Town is than I ever knew. It is a home for misfits of sorts to come together, and I have always been a misfit, so finding this channel really made me happy. I was able to see characters that were similar to me -- and also different -- and immerse myself in the music and OCs; the story and everyday life. I am so grateful this mini-series came to be, and I am glad that Anana and Lena put in the hard work to make it. Even if hard work doesn't go anywhere toward your career it can still go toward your heart and mentality. So, hard work is always a good thing to have. Apart from that, keep up the fantastic and inspiring work. Oh! One last thing. I am lost right now and Little Pickle Town came to me a few days ago and it already feels like a home. The fact that the town was designed to be a home for the lost, and how the lost have found it, warms me. Anyway, that is all I have to say about the amazing series. Bye!

I cannot tell you how thankful I am for little pickle town!!!! Because of your town, I was inspired to make my own about two years ago in 2021! I love the idea of a town full of comfort and warmth, and I just keep adding more characters to it as I go! (though I should probably stop because I have 51 at this point) 😂 I adore little pickle town and it’s characters. I think telling different stories from different perspectives is so important in life, and I’m so excited to see what you do next with your characters!!!

I was brought in this channel by the Uncle Frank video, but as I watched all of the video, I find myself feeling most related to Io's story even though there's only little context on the description. And now I know why🙂 While you're telling the things about her I was quiet and my heart's beating so fast. Like, what are the chances? Okay maybe, I'm just over reacting. I am Jia (my nickname) I'm 15 Asexual Had family issues. Always trying to fit in. I'm not sure but I heard some people says I'm a push over too. I'm an INFJ I love black and If possible will always choose to wear all black every single day. I love comfy clothes. I have an exact same jacket as those. "High achiever"? "Gifted"? "The brain"? "Genius"? Always getting praised since I was 4. Somehow people expect nothing less average from me. And I've always been keeping up to those expectations. That it's suffocating most of the time. Especially when I turned 13. My parents seperated so we need to move from one place to another. Trying to find a place to settle again. It was hard. I can't keep up to the changes and my grades started to decline especially when the pandemic strike. My 8th and 9th grade was a failure. Because we moved out I know no one. No one expected something from me since I passed grade 8 and 9 with a lot of line of 7 no one has an idea that I'm a constantly high honors student. It's so different from before and I started to overthink everything. I started to think that I can't get my grades back. I would get panick attack almost every single night but no one was there for me. My parents started to start their own new life while I was stock from the memories of the past. There was no little pickle town for me. Just relatives who talk behind our backs after acting that they are pitying me and my siblings and wants to help but in reality will note down every little thing they do to earn praises from others and boast that they help us. When the lockdown was over. It started to get better. I learned how to adapt to my new school. Not as good as before but I am on top of our class now. It's not the highest section but I felt like everything is starting to be stable again. Well my main point is that Io is just like me frfr. Haha sorry for this oh so long comment of mine. 😆nagopen up pa nga. I can't wait for more videos to come. Thank u for creating this Creator-san🥰

I found this profile by the 'lemon boy' video and watched everything here, read all the comics (suffering bc as a Brazilian I never had read anything in English before). It was in the middle of 2020, in the pandemic, when I was realizing myself as a lesbian and living in the same place as my homophobic relatives, when I passed 1 year and a half almost entirely in home, in my room. The idea of "safeplace" of Little Pickle Town really caught me, it was a place where I felt welcomed, more than in my own house. The songs, the art, Cavetown (now one of my favorite artists), the characters (I identify SO DAMN MUCH with Io 😭), the town, every single thing cuddled me just like I needed. Your art made me want to live until I could reach this town and smile like Io and Milo, with friends that I love, in a sunny place. It helped me to believe that this place exists. And now I got there, with your help. I was homeless, lost and broken, and I found Little Pickle Town just when I needed. Thank you ❤
