Hi, Pile3 here :) I'm in the process of releasing myself from recurring involvement with narcissistic men. The guy I almost got involved with became a friend by asking me to help him with his yoga practice. He's got an amazing gift for massage therapy and is very interested in the occult. I'm into crystal therapy reiki astrology and 20 year's older than him. I didn't want to get involved because of the age difference but he's been persistent and I'm craving love and affection so eventually one thing led to another. The first time he stayed over I had a vision of a big dark warehouse and saw a small bright blotch of fire which turned into a beautiful butterfly glowing with light. Then my dreams over the next 3 days alerted me to the pattern of narcissistic abuse and I picked up very toxic energy of addiction. So I ended the romance but said I cared for him and would like to be friends. I suppose the danger would be trying to free him from the spirit of narcisism. I've not seen that happen because as you say it's a deeply envious spirit that uses your kindness against you. Thank you for your incredible reading's you are so talented. Hi Helen another great read! I wasn't draw to the title, but you kept appearing so I went for it, glad too. Fear is something I've tamed, but still have some twick's. This has to do with my special needs children, and getting the support they need, and deserve. The people in the way are the system, my head coordinator is very knowledgeable, but they keep the purse strings tight for the system, plus NDIS, will not give easily you have to stand up for your rights. Just tossing out there that The Witcher is actually a Novel series very much in the same vein as TLOTR, written by Andzej Sapkowski. He then made a deal with the at that time unknown Polish game developer CDProjectRed and through The Witcher 2's entry on Xbox 360 it got a great deal more notoriety, culminating in the fantastic end of the trio The Witcher 3. Now Lauren S Hissreich has taken it and with Sapkowski initial blessing (something he undoubtedly regrets since he objected to the liberties the game took, though only after The Witcher 3 made millions and he was trying to get more money out of CDProjectRed. Hissreich has completely destroyed any hope I hade for Netflix's adaptation - since it's not an adaptation - it's a full rewrite. Full of insane and nonsensical changes(Warning: Spoilers ahead) like taking Geralt out of Ciri's visit to Brokilon forest, so that when they reunite at the end of season 1 it has absolutely no emotional impact, where there are a million little sub plots they could have just spared us from having to watch since they almost always end with little impact and to those of us who have read the books or even just played the games they make no sense to throw in to begin with except extending the screen time. Season 2 was liked better by most, but I hated it since 95% of it is those little sub plots, and Henry Cavill is clearly more attracted to the actress who plays Ciri then Yennefer - and it shows - yech (there is more than enough of this kind of thing in the actual plot if we ever get to that lol - Geralt is supposed to be the singular meaningful departure besides Vesemir - fun to watch Vesemir consider and then attempt to kill her. Or tragically ridiculous. - as tragically ridiculous as it was to turn Eskel in to a womanizing asshole and Lechy a moster only in the games and that doesn't "infect people" - a complete 180 from his actual personality, and then for reasons that would've only made sense if they'd stuck to the novel where only Vesemir, Geralt, Lambert, Eskel and Coen inhabit Kaer Morhen - and where Coen legitimately dies so at least it would've been along some kind of plot line that respects the original to have used Coen - they kill him after sticking 50 unnamed Witchers in there and any of them could have made a fine substitute. Instead they kill a fan favorite who is alive all the way through the third game.... sigh) Then they ruin Yennefer's relationship with Ciri as well, instead of having them develop the bond of mother and daughter, and explain the painstaking time involved in learning to harness magic (which if they'd done this right would have made it clear why Sorceress BECOME barren - by the time they develop their magic they are over 40 without exception, usually even older and alleviated us from sitting through the gruesome scene with the burnt uterus body painting) anyway, it is a relationship that again... persists through the 3rd game, so that one MORE person can be trying to take advantage of Ciri for their own gain. Something that starts to border on ridiculous even in the novel by the end, so I can see why they need to get an early start on that here and now. They do the same thing with Triss - who does legitimately have a nasty encounter with an OBVIOUSLY possessed Ciri, but she doesn't run away in terror she simply says she can't help and that Geralt HAS to find the courage to ask Yennefer, after which they take a very important trip together to the temple of Melitele, While triss is nearly dying and THAT is when they run into Yarpen Zigrin who is going the same direction as he is currently working to guard the roads from Scoia'tael attacks, and this is where they find the temple of Shiawedd, and the infamous elven bathes from the second game and this is half of where the name blood of elves comes from, because Ciri impulsively judges the Elves and so Geralt provides a little history lesson, that while elves live forever, they can only have children while still young, and that when the humans started to do more than simply drive them out of their homes, they still had a large population of elves young enough to bear children, but were starving to death from the lack of land to sow crops on and Shiawedd saw they were at the last possible moment to have a chance at resisting becoming nothing but servants to human kind and decided to bet the young who wanted to fight in an attempt at resistance and instead they lost almost oall of the young who could continue their species and that fighting back is a lot more than senseless war for them but a battle for survival and all they have lost, Ciri later has the chance to truly understand how she herself fits into this puzzle and takes it to heart so much that she gets a tattoo of the red roses that still grow in the temple and never die on her thigh. Yarpen has a very emotional and Iconic moment in that he throws up his hands in the middle of battle and screams at the humans nearby who he is currently working for to make ends meet "Look at what you have done to us all!", all this while Triss is on her death bed as they desperately try to find her a mage who can help her (Triss cannot ingest magic potions, she can only charge her own magic amulets with power and use them for healing. Some speculate that this is why Triss does not use illusion magic to change her appearance, though I tend to think it is a source of pride for her to some extent, that she doesn't need to) it is a truly missed opportunity IMO Anyway while Triss does legitimately sell Ciri out - 2 or 3 books later(depends on whether you feel they really began to develop blood of elves in season 2. I, for one, do not see that they adapted more than about 15 pages of it (the rest is just made up sub plots, except for the Story A grain of truth - which isn't even in Blood of Elves but The Last Wish - the first book btw. and then somehow we've made it to The Time of Contempt by the end, all without hardly any of the actual story or character development) anyway, Triss sells out more than Ciri - she sells out Geralt, Yennefer AND Ciri. Backs away quietly in embarrassment. Mebbe I went a little far in my rant. Just a little.... uh, I mean A LOT too far. Sorry. Favorite book of mine and honestly one of my top 3 favorite games of ALL time. I love TLOTR too though, the hobbit and then TLOTR were the first books I ever read. Beyond, y'know One fish, Two fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
