This videos shows an easy way to remember the different variations on the Pressure Volume loop curve. Changes in Afterload leads to a tall skinny curve; for this think of the first letter of Afterload = A which is tall and skinny and you will remember what the curve looks like. For contractility remember that the curve is shifted to the left; so when you write the first letter of Contractility = C it curves to the left! And lastly for Preload remember that the curve is to the right; when you write the first letter of Preload = P it curves to the right. Easy peasy way of remembering a concept that a lot of students struggle with.
