By fasting you understand the value of food and water , through out the day u dont eat or drink and you see what homeless people go through everyday.

WestCoast4Life so why not go homeless to understand even better. For a homeless or hungry person what good it is doing that people deliberately reversing the cycle of day and night and then over eating all night. It’s just so unhealthy and someone will end up in hospital. Why not donate food throughout that month with objective that no one should stay hungry.

@@ralicgaming8905 when its the month of ramadan not only you have to fast but u have to give if possible ( by if possible i mean if u have enough youre supposed to give ) and youre supposed to pray . We clearly have thrown food that someone could use at some point , you wouldnt do that during ramadan or anytime if u have ever fasted. 2. It is not bad for your health actually it is very good for your health if u control u eating during the iftar. 3. Not everyone is meant to fast : sick people , children , pregnant women etc Im 14 and i am fasting atm and thanks to allah it has not been hard for me so why cant a healthy person fast ? They unless they dont want to or as i mentioned they cant fast because theyre very young etc If a person is weak ( not in an offending way ) and they cannot fast , everybody has to understand them . Its not that ramadan help the homeless its the people that learn from the ramadan. Thanks

WestCoast4Life I am a mum of a 6 year old and under no circumstances I will allow him to fast this way when he should be concentrating on his studies. Realising that there is hunger and suffering in the world and doing whatever you can to do your bit is an individual nature. If you are sensitive, care about others you don’t have to go through hunger. If I care for refugees I don’t have to pretend in order to understand their plight. In order to protect a woman from domestic violence I don’t need to suffer domestic violence myself to understand their pain. Understanding someone’s sorrow depends on individual to individuals. I bet you most of the Muslims keep Ramadan out of peer pressure and not to understand hunger. They shy to say I am not keeping fast. I myself have seen them eating and drinking in secret but pretending they have kept fast. There are other healthy ways to fast to detox the body. During the day our body need fuel and during the night time the metabolism is slow. Our body is also part of nature. And nature has its own rhythm. This rhythm is in line with the sun. This fasting reverse the rhythm and force the body to go against the nature. I can understand fasting to detox if you chose lemon water and only fruits and veg. But not this way. It’s no way healthy. Iftar is full of oily full of meat food. High protein diet need more water to digest. Like I said previously this fast goes against the nature with no positive contributions to society. People who work are less productive and it is unfair to those who are not Muslims. Because their Muslim colleagues come yawning, tired from lack of sleep and over eating. They come to work for the sake. No matter how annoyed the managers are but they can’t say anything. The rest of the team work hard to compensate. It is true work is worship. You can’t prioritise religion and put your education, health, responsibility at work secondary.
