Hello Bryan and Rikki. The funny thing is that I live just next to Domaine Les Pailles and through you, i just visited my locality and the Domaine😂. Sometimes with our hectic life, we just missed beautiful things next to us. Anyway, thanks for the vlog and welcome to Mauritius. ENJOY.

The Italian restaurant there called Dolce Vita used to be amazing, used to go there as a kid for lunch and swim in the pool. There used to be a great indian restaurant as well called Indra I think? I think that's still open.

Pronounced les pailles as lay pie, or just pailles (pie). I went to domaine les pailles on a school trip when I was little. Is it really abandoned? Such a shame I would have liked to visit. 15.25 they used to have an ox to turn that.

My Mauritian girlfriend tells me that they used to make incredibly tasty meat pailles in those mysterious buildings but stopped when the British left.
