However they are not direct comparisons. It is ignorant to just ignore both of their histories and dumb it down to say they are "both simple discrimination." I was only disagreeing with your statement that it is weird that the black community seems to care more about racism. My point is that of course the black community, for the most part, cares more about racism, because that affects everyone in the black community, even LGBTQ black people. Black people who are not in support of the LGBTQ community are most likely more religious. The root of the discrimination is different for both those issues, therefore they shouldn't be compared. I could even argue that racism is the cause of homophobia in the African community around the world, because technically speaking the reason Africans around the world are more homophobic is because of religious beliefs that were forced on them by western powers wanting to spread their religion.
