On the website it looks like the regular exposed elastic version is rebuildable, but the version with protective flaps is not rebuildable. Is there a difference in the construction that lets you re-use one upper for a rebuild but not the other? Great looking boot!

Love the concept of a Nicks chelsea. However, the leather strip up the front puts too many seams around the boot and makes it look odd. Looks like 5 pieces of overlapping leather? Doesn't have to be like RM Williams single piece, but if you clean up the lines, I'm in for a pair.

Love this! Would like to see a Size 9 in widths FFFF (Ball of feet measurment: 11.25 in) or at least a FFF (Ball of feet measurement: 11 in). Been looking to upgrade my Red Wing Chelsea to something from Nicks that has high arch & aggressive vibram sole.

wearing cowboy boots when you’re not riding a horse is the same thing as wearing cleats when you’re not playing football. Cowboy boots are a tool. They are pointed so you can put them in the stirrups easy they have a heels so they don’t slip out of the stirrups.

I’m still waiting on someone to build a Chelsea boot you can weld in. Can someone please just put a one piece leather vail over the damn elastic so sparks won’t tear into the elastic. Nice looking boots. I had a pre owned pair of your jumper boots that had a wedgesole attached, best welding boot, it lasted 2 and some change years where as other boots last a year and a half tops.

Putting a single piece of leather would not let the elastic stretch at all, unless you're talking about something like putting attaching tongue gusset leather, big enough to let the elastic stretch but still block the sparks?

@@nicksusa something like that. I’m not a shoemaker so I don’t know how possible that is. All I can say is the last pair of Chelsea’s I welded in was not fun and I ended up cutting the opening of a gauntlet glove and gluing it to cover the elastic.

Nice boot, but not for me. Now if you made a boot like the Wesco Morrison or Red Wing Nail Seat, I would be all over that. To old and tired to be lacing up boots. I want a 12 inch slip on.

I really dislike the look of a Chelsea boot, the one you have with the hidden elastic is really nice though, not all that Chelsea looking. I would wear that.
