Does anyone here know the word for "rainbow" in Karakalpak? Karakalpak is a language that is spoken in the Karakalpakstan region of western Uzbekistan and is co-official with Uzbek in Karakalpakstan. 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 Uzbek Karakalpak Kazakh kamalak ??? kempirqosaq I am endeavoring to compile a list of the words for "rainbow" in all the Kipchak Turkic language to post on Instagram, and Karakalpak belongs to the Kipchak branch of the Turkic language family. Whereas the Kazakh word for "rainbow" is "kempirqosaq," the Uzbek word for "rainbow" is "kamalak" according to Google Translate. I anticipate that the Karakalpak word for "rainbow" sounds more similar to the Kazakh equivalent than the Uzbek equivalent since Karakalpak is more closely related to Kazakh than Uzbek, though I cannot be sure until I ascertain this Karakalpak word of interest.

@Colin Hirschberg Yes, it takes about 2 hours to reach Qarshi by taxi. And in the East of Qashqadarya, we have Shakhrisabz city which is also very famous for its historical monuments. Welcome!

@Colin Hirschberg 2 hours from Buxoro and 6 hours from Toshkent (via taxi). You can come here by 'Afrosiyob' train as well, and it takes about 3 hours (from Toshkent). Actually, I don't know about Navro‘z festival in Shakhrisabz
