Total quality management or TQM is a structured approach to overall organizational management. Total quality management is a term that was found in the 1950s. It was developed by William Deming, a management consultant whose work had a great impact on Japanese manufacturing.

TQM is whole process which can hardly be reduced to a few simple aspects. Although I will give an example Taking decisions based on facts allow sellers to better bid on projects. A good performing organization will be able to know the cost of its operations. A poor performing organization won't. Therefore the poor performing organization might lose money on contracts without knowing it.
