My stepbrother has Tourette’s and childhood for him was really really rough. Bullying, people just don’t understand what Tourette’s really is. Thank you for educating people with your videos. You manage it so well and you bring more positivity and a whole different side to it. I would be interested to know how your childhood was and how you were able to manage it. Also may be how your family is dealing with it. My brother was very Agressive and as you mentioned had a lot of other things going on, so for us as a family it sadly wasn’t that positive growing up. Keep making lots of videos. I’m looking forward to watching all of them

Amazing video. Thank you for all you do. I'm 40 and have suffered from echolalia and coprolalia for 30 years, it's so hard to explain to new people When I was diagnosed, the only med they knew worked was a chemical restraint they used on mental patients - Haloparidol. I'm glad they found alternatives as I can't remember much about my mid teen years.

Some people have already mentioned this but a 'day in the life' type of video would be great. I think it would be interesting to cover things like, how your tics impact your life. I know mine are mild and are just physical jerks so other than creating embarrassing situations, it's never prevented me from doing anything. But I'm always aware that these can be so difficult for people. I love your channel and the insight into your tourettes. Thank you for sharing!

In my view, Jade's videos do a great service to people not just with her particularly condition, but mental health more generally. At the end of the day, mental health issues are just health issues. And the more this is normalised the better it will be for all concerned. Nice work.

I watched a video of someone else who has Tourette’s syndrome show how he gets tattooed and it’s pretty simple. He literally just tells the tattoo artist when he feels a tic coming on and then the artist will stop and continue after. It will take twice as long if it’s a big piece but it’s worth it and they deserve every right like everyone else to be able to get one!

My tics have only developed in a noticeable way just recently, within the last year or two. There are things I've done for a long time that I only now realize are tics, after doing some research. But my tics are actually undiagnosed, as I'm scared to see a doctor because I'm worried there's something really wrong with my brain. But the worse it gets, the more I realize I really need to see a doctor (especially since my newest tic is flipping off)

Love your videos. This one especially. Thank-you for taking time to do these especially since cameras seem to make it worse for you. My daughter doesn't have tourettes but does have a couple tics. She does one that i call "the dolphin" when she's excited where she flaps her hands together and does a high pitched squeal. I couldn't understand (and would get frustrated with her) why she did it and the more excited the worse it'd get and it doesn't look like she enjoys it but her Pediatrician told us it's because she has tics which are associated with her ADHD and aspects she has of aspergers. Watching your videos truly helps me understand this stuff more. So again Thank-you 😊

Its really interesting that certain things like music and driving seem to distract the tics. Seems like things that take a certain type of concentration seem to override it some how. My friend at school was similar and found music hugely distracted his tics because he was concentrating on the lyrics and what came next. I dont have tourettes but there is definately a 'headspace' you can get into when playing music or driving. Be intersting to see what others find helps and if they are the same sort of activities.
