i really love the Henshin gimmick that is a Rubik’s cube and I can’t wait to see Ultraman Arc

I think the "Genericness" of Ultraman Arc is very intentional, as the rumors said, the aesthetics will be very showa-esque, even the title card and its background crystal thingy seen in 0:30 is directly taken from "Return Of Ultraman" from 1971

When I first looked at ultraman arc my first thought was "he looks like that one of those fake ultraman toys from the Chinese Market" bc arc looks like kinda dyna that been attached to orb origin body

Here’s something I’ve been thinking about, typically the name of an Ultraman comes from the protagonist either because they made it up themselves or that’s just the ultra’s name and then the rest of the team follows in calling them as such, there’s often a conversation that goes like “huh, who’s Ultraman [name]?” “Oh that’s what I’ve decided to call that giant we’ve been seeing lately” or some variation of that, this even pointed out in Shin Ultraman where Zoffy acknowledges that ‘ultraman’ is the name given to Lipiah by the humans. So my theory for what’s going on with Arc is Yuma unites with Rution to become Ultraman, but then SKIP designates him as Arc independently from Yuma. I can imagine him going to the rest of the team being like “hey I think we should call this new guy Ultraman Ruti-“ “Too late kid, the guys in the lab are already calling him Arc”

Just gonna point it out since the protagonist’s name is Yuma. In the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal the protagonist’s name is Yuma and his alien buddy is Astral and when they merge together they make Zexal which is the name of the show, and when Yuma and Rution merge they make Arc, which is the name of this show, just a funny coincidence I thought I should mention

Wait, I need to activate my RUBICS CUBE! Honestly, I think Arc himself looks more relaxed and more old-fashioned. Even the attacks shown so far are the classic beam and energy disk. I don't mind it.

Arc's design isnt inherently bad, but it looks..."bootlegy" in a way, like they combined a random head and body to sold as a toy. It doesnt flow the best, but hopefully it'll improve later

I hope Arc is related to Ultraman Jack

Iam pretty pumped for ultraman arc after this trailer.The transformation item is pretty unique imo.Iam interested to see if theyre gonna continue what blazar did with minimal forms and many new kaijuus, especially with the sayings that its looking to be more like showa. Most of all iam rooting for Yuki totsuka as the main lead in yuuma.looking forward on what a new face actor could give to the ultra series🎉🎉

Oh yeah! New Generation Jack! I hope they complete A New Version of Zoffy and Man-Nissan to create a brand new group of 6 Ultra Brothers

It kind of look like zyuohger gimmick with the rubik cube gimmick. It looks like a cool toy and display item, but not practical in action. It also got a sword that reference ultraseven.

It looks like they’re remaking a showa ultraman. A literal return to basic and classic ultraman like max. It might not be cameo heavy or legendary gimmick heavy like the anniversary ones.

I say Arc is going to take a similar path to Ultraman X.

I think the main problem is his suit barely has any synergy, specifically with the head details compared to the very showa-esque bland body, it just doesn't really convey any specific motif or idea, so it just ends up being really bland And i suppose they kind of fill in that blandness with the armor gimmick, but that doesn't necessitate his base form to be so... empty Like Z base form, hell even Orb Origin the First look pretty unique despite being base forms, so again i have no clue why the design team didn't just synergize Arc's the design Even the showa suits, crazy and weird as they are, have the decency to repeat shape language and motifs across their body evenly enough, and quite honestly have distinct unique personality (Jack and Zoffy are slight exceptions but they have their reasons)

I’m really looking to watch series of ultraman arc because I love ultraman arc design because his head looks kind of looks like orb I love his yellow eyes and the suit looks good on him because it looks great I love it and I can’t wait to watch the show

I kinda wish the suit was a bit better. 1. The yellow eyes just don’t do it justice. 2. The black around the neck either should’ve been used a lot more on the suit, or it should’ve been like the rest of the body. 3. The color timer is pretty much trigger’s color timer. I’d prefer if it were an actual arc to make it more unique.

Honestly a few more black coloring on the body and i would like the suit alot more. Oh and to add some more if the neck part is colored either silver or red i think that would look alot nicer.
