What I understood from Rev. Maharaj: Vedanta can be understood rationally with one's commonsense; but it should be one's way of life as well to bear fruit, hence the need of practising its great tenets in one's own life.

Sir, Questions I need to ask is that, Swamiji said at first "Vedanta means rational understanding of the mystery of the veda". After that at last he said "We believe in rebirth". Then without going to the reason why he just believes in rebirth. If he know the reason but thinks that common people will not understand it without practical experience then he could have stated that instead of the word "believe".is not it?

It's true that we all have to go under the cycle of birth and death until all of our desires vanish. From desire, the expectation from our work comes. This expectation binds us in our Karma results suffering. The summary of Vedanta is, Be one with GOD. For it complete renunciation is mandatory. That's Swamiji Maharaj here repeatedly said about the mind must be free from all thoughts, preconceived notions and desires. So Vedanta tells us the way of life indeed. And "Believe" word has been stated because in Geeta Lord Krishna says it and it's not said in any other religion as far as I know. However, belive doesn't mean it has any contradiction but it's the truth.
