That machine is a Better Packages 555 unit. If you're not doing super high volume, I'd recommend the non electric Better Packages 333 instead.

Would I possibly be able to print my logo on this tape with my thermal printer? Obviously before I apply any water to activate it.

Not sure if there's a type of thermal printer I am not aware of, but usually thermal printers would need special thermal paper, designed to darken when heated.

it doesn't have thermal transfer coating. But you can do it with ink jet printer. laser printer may activate the adhesive layer.

Hi Ryan, Good question, I mostly hear them referred to as synthetic fibers or reinforcing fibers in catalogs and literature, but I'm sure there is a more specific name that maybe a packaging manufacturer or wholesaler would know if any could chime in in the comments.
