Very interesting, and appropriate for a problem we are attempting to solve at present. The one point that was not discussed is if the load is less than half the installed Solar panel capacity, and this load is also variable in that it can be reduced to suit the output of the solar panels, then a low kw generator solution would work. Even if the generator occasionally trips, not having to run a large generator at 30% will result in significant saving on fuel. This scenario would work less well during the monsoon months! Thank you for making this video!

I don’t know dgpv synchroniser, but there is 1 more technique. Called zero export feature, that’s it, that’s sufficient, let dg run at 30% come what may & after that let solar start producing, since it is sync w this new ref (dg) it will pump power to load & letting dg to not to raise its delivery, as solar start under performing, means it will not be able to cater the load abv 30%, so in that naturally dg will start pumping power to load till it’s 100%, & as solar starts gaining its capacity, it will start pumping in to the load & thence dg will start derating its capacity. Just remember after start of dg, on grid fail, we r simply maintaining the lower limit of its operation to 30%, and sw on zero export feature of solar. Rest is taken care, adaptively.

Thanks for the vedio, I have installed Solar in my Flat which is on Top Floor of the society, I have 3-Phase supply which is coming via Grid and society DG set via a Dual meter. Please let us know how can I use the Net meter in this case and shall I need to install DGPV

You can do net metering if you are getting supply from the grid and in this case your solar connection should be separate from the DG

No sir we will only generate the power which is required to run the load So extra power will not be generated, and export will not happen

I am installing 3kw on-grid system in my apartment with zero export CT. In the basement we have a big DG which powers all flats (total 30) including common area and Lift. Mine is a single phase, do you propose DG PV system or should I disconnect the DG ? My electrician was telling he would pull a separate line for a kitchen point from DG (post DG disconnection in the basement to my flat) will it be feasible as I am not sure how on-grid inverter would react since it will be connected to my Mains. Please help.

Why make it complicated? Why can't the inverter cut grid during power out and run by itself.. Generation on shinewave is not so hard If it still needs reference..
