Not quite, no. At, say, 74, mobs have about 9-10k health. Your corruption will do about 3500 damage at that time.

@@Dustomatic i pulled with my lock as lvl 72 about 15-20 mobs with corruption and just seed them. done This to lvl 78. was the fastest way to level on full servers :D U wouldnt die because of selfheal+Soul link

I remmeber farming in WotLK with blue gear, and a fiew epics, simply puting 2 DoTs on each mobs, and constantly walking arround yes. Guess i had not the gear for one DoT them.

if you want to lifetap twice during your fights, it's up to you. But it lowers your dps drastically simply to have your hp higher at the beginning of the next fight which isn't a necessity. Lifetap on your way to the next target is way more efficient, less satisfying in a way but more efficient.

@@JDBob3 He never said he was going for max efficiency, tapping lifetap before a fight makes sure you'll heal AND have enough mana, if anything it's an efficient way to casually keep both health and mana high...you were 100% only caring about efficiency lol

I like mage :) Versatyle, has own food, high burst.. Spirest and lock are good 2. Everything is good if you are skilled and if you enjoy playing. I just like mage more

@@ultraultraultra Demonic Pact provides spell power to the raid, it scales on your own spell power. So in theory most guilds will funnel caster loot onto the demo first and foremost.

Im a pvt server nut and I can say afflic/demo are two of the most fun and OP specs throughout most of wotlk Most guilds will want 3-6 warlocks too so you should find it easy to fit in some where :D (P.S Demonform and Immo aura is INSANE AoE!, only bettered by starfall probably)

yep, indeed that's possible and 5-6 mobs are doable. I think that's similar to what I am doing, only I am not paying so much attention to keeping my health and mana at 100% here. Dots (Corruption + UA) on all as I pull, and then Haunt on one of them. I don't do CoA because Corruption + UA is enough for me to down a mob and UA is faster than CoA...

sure, felhunter is a primary affliction pet when raiding and stuff. But the spell power increase is like +20 or something (64 spirit * 0.3), which can't hurt, but i like to stay safe with voidwalker shield when I am leveling :)

That's not correct. CoE is dynamic and updates in real time, along with haunt and shadow embrace.

Why CoE in the first place? Just use CoA, run and pull everything you see 😅

@@itsurGam3 because coa deals more dmg over time meanining the shorter the fight the less mana efficient you are. coe is better for short fights

Yes, I think that's correct. At least from my experience on this private server. When I apply CoE after dots, it doesn't increase the damage of the dots that are already on. The haunt is different. it will improve the dots that are already on. I am sorry if that doesn't seem 100% correct 😄I am not putting too much tought into it when I grind mobs, I just go. But the reason why I am doing this is that if I pulled with CoE, the mob engages immediately (with 0 damage taken, plus it triggers my GCD) and when I do ustable affliction -> corruption, the mob engages with 2 heavy dots already on. But on boss fight for example, the CoE sure goes first.

The most important thing is to put Corruption on every mob because of siphon life :) Then I do Haunt + Drain Life on one of them. When Haunt ends, or the mob with Haunt dies, it heals you a lot (depending on how much dmg you dealt to it). Then you pick the next mob with highest health and do Haunt + Drain life on that, while the dots are ticking on the rest. 5-6 mobs at a time should be doable, as long as they don't have interrupts or something. And don't forget to keep your Soul Link active at all times (it's a talent but it needs to be activated). Voidwalker shield (Sacrifice) can always back you up when in trouble. As you can see, Corruption + UA is enough for me to kill a mob, and if they survive with low health, I finish them off with a quick Rain of Fire. I am not so boosted... maybe a little. I am using just 138 greens from normal northrend quests. But I am fully equipped, including trinkets and rings (all 138 greens obtainable from quests) + spell power enchant on hands and staff (they are cheap and affordable).

Corruption on all and Siphon Life talent. Also Haunt and Drain Life once dots are up on all mobs. Although, you need to be fast. If you don't kill them quickly enough, they kill you. Anyway, this is to some extent a "comedy sketch." It might not be possible with all types of mobs. Some can be stronger. Always read the terain first :-)

Thank you! I am not saying that affliction is the best. I just made a video about this because I thought it was fun 🙂 had this level 70 warlock lying around for some time and I wanted to do something fun with it. I am sure that it's very different on lower levels when you don't have all these talents/abilties yet. If you are getting buned out, you might wanna try some other spec. They're all cool in their own way. The reason why I like affli on 70+ is all the healing that it gets and you can basically manage your health/mana without using food/drink at all.

@@waynetrain3631 what I did is aoe demo to rush dungeons until you stop getting as much xp, at which point you can probably get far enough into the tree that you can level comfortably as another spec

@@waynetrain3631 I’ll be honest with you, they’re doing way more than necessary for open world on an affliction lock. With ok gear (level appropriate) all you need to do is corruption and CoA everything, keep running, and use drain life or death coil if needed… and life tap for mana. It’s mostly 2-3 buttons open world tho

Ah yes, pally is way too cool. I've made several paladins, actually, both ret and prot. But I am not making a pally video because I play on Dalaran-WoW, and the paladin is broken there (in a good way) so that would be misleading 😄

Why? Dark Pact and Life Tap - should be no reason to drink. At most - Life tap and bandage. A well played Affliction Lock should have pretty much zero downtime between pulls.

@@shtroizn you are indeed correct my friend. He is most likely playing it wrong. Much like the video in which he wastes time and mana with UA. Corruption and Agony are more than enough with Hellfire.

@@AndyO0520 That's what I think. You can also alternate between a Felhunter (mostly for mobs as a mana battery) and a Voidwalker (mostly for Elites). Also - once you get your hands on Glyph of Siphon Life and Glyph of Quick Decay you become a powerhouse leveler/farmer! If you also take the CoE talent and the minor Glyph of CoE - you can kite Elites and use Demonic Sacrifice on your Blue Blob if needed. This, with Dark Pact, Fear, Howl of Terror, Death Coil, Drain Life, HS, etc. - you are almost indestructible. Place your Demonic circle in a strategic spot and if all else fails you can port to it and escape. Engineering can also help.

Dark pact and life tap you should never have to drink along with mana pots you get from mobs

and what the fuck are you going to do as demo? the rotation is much less involved, but oh wow you have a cooldown that turns you into a demon for a couple of seconds, amazing! give me a fucking break

@Jamie it's still only a couple of seconds? don't get me wrong, I love metamorphosis but OP kind of implied demo was any less boring to play than affliction, which I don't agree with at all. it's still cool to pop meta and go ham, but other than that the gameplay isn't really that exciting, unless you like seeing huge crits in execute phase which affliction doesn't have.
