My mom is Filipino. I grew up in 5 states, China, and Saudi Arabia. My sisters were born in China (and speak with a US southern accent). My dad lived in 7 countries. My family is this weird blend of everything. I have 2 different passports. I decided to settle in rural Alaska as a "why not?" moment in my life. Yeah, my eating habits, lifestyle, and communication skills stick out. I unintentionally show off all the time. Also the I can't sit still thing is so true, plus the random calls random hours of the day/night. My favorite moment was when I was asked what I am doing for the summer. I stated I am going to travel. A few colleague got excited and stated "Which state!? OMG I so wanted to travel and see all the states! " I said "Overseas". His response: "Why?" Also my English is really screwed up....

I think the term TCK could be defined differently in a way it doesn’t overlap with non-TCKs. Both my parents are immigrants and I grew up in America. Never lived anywhere outside my state or America.
