My wife started with some basic isopods from the back yard some compost leaves and rabbit manure, she just keeps feeding them banana peels and leaves . We are now starting to put soil in our Snake enclosures.

I got some springtails in my mint pot. They somehow appeared in once and then magicaly spread from flower pot. They seems to like roting failed plants or feriliser sticks but can live of the wet soil. If you breath on them they start to run and jump. Not so beautifull as orange or red, throught. Bugburgers have some 20 ingredients including rosehip and cinnamon. Realy? Some seaweed in this could be good for crustaceans, I think.

Why not have a bulk system regarding the leaves ? Like get a municipul near you that harvest the leaves from the nearby region and ask them for a batch then you can industrial cook them makes it cheaper and then the waste heat is useful for something else

I would like some isopods so that I could wiev them like in aquarium. I guess acrylic terrarium would be OK but maybe somehow making shelter so that it would be visible from a side.
