Droid question was actually pretty good though. Time is relative, therefore time moves "faster" to sloths. Think about it, the earth moves over 10,000 miles per hour, which sounds fast, but if you look at a planet and compare it to ours, if it's moving faster, things on that planet would just think we move super slow and not normal speed

10,000 miles per hour really isn’t that fast. You usually experience observable time dilations when you approach the speed of light, which is 3x10^8 m/s which is 6.7x10^8 mph.

1:56 Droid was actually on to special relativity. He wasn't quite right but time does flow at different rates deepening on different factors. However, many of these factors would have to be beyond human scale to see anything noticeable. For instance, we would have to move within factions of the speed of light that you can right down with a few digits. Like 0.02 x speed of light, or in other words, 2% the speed of light. I actually got so tired writing this right now so I am gonna give up and let the KZfaq frogs finish it off if they want.

@@Buzzzy-bee Yes! But not because they are somehow moving faster in time. It's actually because their perception is faster as it takes a lot less time for a fly to perceive a moving object and have the neurons pathways fire all the way to the point in which they have started to move. For example, a neuron fires about once a second, and so if the neuron pathway was a single line of neurons, then it could take hours for our brain to even understand a moving object but for a fly it could be only seconds. But brains have about a thousand connections per neuron so that's what allows us to have much faster reflexes, and same for the fly. Smaller brain, faster reactions but simpler intelligence.

Responding to droid: Time its relative the speed you are moving changes your perspective, you need to go really fast or really slow to have a visible reaction but yeah the speed at you move changes how you see time. All of you play apex, that's the same thing that happen to Horizon when she was near the black hole, she was moving in a different speed, at the point that for her point of view she was stuck for a short time but for her son she disappear for hundreds of years.

1:58 technically yes. General relativity gets into that, but because it’s MUCH slower than the speed of light, the time difference is essentially negligible, BUT it is still there. So, for all intents and purposes, Droid is right.

Actually, fun fact (nerd time), the faster an object moves relative to another object, the slower the first object feels time! Time dilation is a thing, and time is pretty relative regardless, so Droid's question was somewhat legit, except it would be the slower you move, the faster time is rather than the slower you move, the slower time is.

Well time is actually relative. So the closer you get to the speed of light, the slower time moves around you. And the smaller you are and the shorter your lifespan (meaning bugs and small animals) the slower time would move to you because you have a shorter lifespan. If you were looking at a flies perspective then you would be seeing in slow motion most likely. So I guess since sloths move so slow then time would be moving faster around them since I do believe sloths live for a long time
