This series couldn't of come out at a better time literally the first video came out the day I started solid axle swapping my 2001 single cab Toyota Hilux in Australia with a TM Fab kit that just using mostly 80 series and 75 series stuff altho I did use your older videos for the taco brakes with the fror but went with the 14wa calipers that come 150 Prado here. Mines only on 33s. This thing is a beast on 40's and looking forward to see some trip videos with it with new rubber

Im kinda curious about the mileage not because i really care about gas millaege on a rig like this "it is nice knowing how far a full tank takes you" but mostly because it would be neat to compare to stock, i dont think some people realize how much proper gearing actually helps. When i regear a jeep "we run jeeps" i typically go into the red or at least just past what stock would be on one of those calculation sheets. Because its nice to have the option for a larger tire later but mostly to accommodate the extra mass/weight of the 37s or 40s. I have always daily driven heavily modified 4x4s and its actually really cool to see just how well a vehicle performs on road with 40s and good suspension geometry and proper gearing ive been really surprised by a few rigs. Ive definitely spent time on road running big tires and stock gearing and ive been very surprised just how much efficiency ive gotten from regearing not to mention just how much more enjoyable the vehicle is to drive and how much easier it is to make it go. It creates a ton of heat too trying to push big tires on stock gears I've seen gearing cure overheating problems like heat soak issues and stuff. I have a stock 2001 durango with a 5.9 v8 i use as a spare vehicle it has a digital mileage counter and when i changed the 31 inch street tires to 31 inch bfg all terrains i noticed it said my milaege went down by 1 mile just with the more aggressive tire i thought that was kind of neat to see how it made a difference and it got me paying attention to different things, im not a milaege nut like some people but i do like efficiency and maximizing reliability and performance. Anyways your truck turned out really cool i think it looks really good. The width suits it well it looks like its supposed to be that way some vehicles look silly with full width axles underneath, those fenders really pull everything together. Even if you used a small spacer or different wheel to try and bring the tire out of the control arm i think it would still look good.

What gear ratio in the axles? -(5.13 gears, I missed it)- I have 2013 F250 Sterling 10.5 Rear, Dana 60 Front in my '95 YJ. Both with E-Lockers. Lowest gears I could get was 4.88. The little 2.5l 4-cyl doesnt like it one bit! Once I get a decent transfer case and V-8 im sure it will be fine. EDIT: Also, what steering setup? I had to use a PSC hydo-assist. The factory steering almost wouldnt even turn the 40s. I can steer dead into a rock or log with no problems.

@@stevenpeterson7234just for the record, since you commented here I've been asked to swap the D44s out of a 1st Gen Tacoma and a Colorado solid swapped truck, because D44s are absolute trash.
