I bet Google’s offices may look different in a year: with rooms being filled with more office desks and technical tools and machines for working, and less places for fun and snacks. Because the smartest thing they could do after hiring serious employees that are dependable, they’d probably reflect the sense of discipline that previous employees lacked, by getting rid of the stuff that she’d shown. Stuff like the drink bars, most of the many snacks, and the games. As that’d be much more distracting. Google setting up their offices like a playground for adults didn’t necessarily inspire a strong discipline of work ethic or reliability.

But, it didn’t help the company that they made it look/feel like and adult daycare. If they hadn’t portrayed that impression, those employees that got laid off may have taken they’re jobs more seriously and would have been more reliable at the sight of the workplace and how it reflected productivity and innovation. A work place should take care of their employees, and make them comfortable. But, if you reflect as a place of fun and relaxation, then it won’t feel like a business of work, and productivity. It’ll feel like an amusement park.

@@nehasonireal well my friends work in the Silicon Valley and that's not a preconceived notion. Employees in these tech giants are given all facilities so that they work harder. If their productivity is low the management would take necessary action. It's that simple. Google is not some Indian government firm.
