Fyi these are real modern GT40s built using all of the original tooling and go in the historic registry with the original cars. So technically real GT40s are left and right hand drive, but the original ones yes were only right

I've always liked these Amazing Recreation Cars... My personal choice would be the, Cobra Daytona Coupe... GT40... I will always feel blessed to have, not only be near one, but also aloud to, encouraged even to sit in it... Thank you forever Mr Dean Jeffries "RIP".. An absolute gentleman and just Cool to hang out with.. If you can, he had "rare" an understatement, GT40 Roadster... imagine more of a Modern Super Car "Spyder" style... @@Chestickles It's a Superformance GT40, it's not sold as a 'kit' it's built in Southafrica and you just stick which ever engine you want in it (done that way to save import tax). But the key thing here is it's not a Ford Gt40 even if it has a continuation chassis number.

@@K2edg Slashgear calls it a kit car, Car and Driver calls it a replica as does Motor Trend. The interior is bare compared to the real GT40. It's a rolling chassis that you can put a motor in or you can hire someone to put the motor in for you. Maybe I should have called it a replica, either way the video gives the impression It's a original GT40.

not a real 1965. its an updated version and doesnt sound like a side oiler 427 with spaghetti exhaust

It's a modern factory built gt40, licensed by SAFIR spares and built using the original tooling, assigned a pchassis # and goes in the historic registry with the original cars. If you watched the video, I explain this.

I've heard the superformance gt has a heavier clutch than the 05 gt. Do you find this to be the case?

You can take that up with Superformance. But based on the fact that is fully licensed and titled as a 65 and goes in the historic registry with the original cars, my answer is yes
