Kind of amazing that we don't test to peoples strengths but rather just lump everyone to "you need to do everything".

People mostly choose a very specific area of expertise to work on, what do you mean by the "need to do everything" part?

I was looking for a good video to explain multiple intelligences to my HS Freshmen. Wow, what a nice job Celeste has done with explaining this. I give her first & 50 for her speech.

Flexible mind can pretend being each of those types and don't be one of them at the same time.

The thing about MI is that you don't have just one - it's having 8 of them at various levels. So the speaker phrases it 'x has a y intelligence', but actually it's more like 'x's dominant intelligence is y'. So you may feel you don't have any of those much more developed than others - and it's fine.

@@agatacichocka4695 Is there some evidence to support the MI theory? I tried to search but didn't really find anything. Also if most of these traits aren't correlated in anyway why call them intelligence? it just feels a little misleading

@@sam2725 Well, you can read about the findings in the field of neurology to support the theory - even in some books written by Gardner himself. The evidence is usually linking specific skills with certain brain areas. An interesting example might be that contrary to common opinion, people who can well imitate the sounds of a language that is not native to them, aren't necessarily good at music /playing an instrument. Brain research supports it - different brain areas respond to human speech and musical tones. But to be completely fair, I don't know if the theory is "officially approved". I work in education and in my field, it is widely accepted and used to boost learning. To answer the latter part of your question, the name "intelligence" was given deliberately, as "talent" doesn't seem to have a serious, scientific connotation; perhaps as a response to Intelligence Quotient (IQ) as well.

I am musically talented and don’t have perfect pitch. Not all people who are musically talented are born knowing an A is an A.

🛐🙏❤💓🙏💌💗💕♥️💌❤💖😭 Heavenly Father Jesus God, I know that I am a sinner. I know I deserve the consequences of my sins. However, I trust in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that his death and resurrection provided my forgiveness. I believe in Jesus and only Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and for forgiving me! In the holy name of Jesus Almighty God, Amen!” 💗❤❤💞The message of this gospel is that if you continue to believe in this message, you will be saved: For what I received I gave you as the first priority: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, is buried , according to the scriptures Resurrected on the third day, and appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once
