As a Windies native and can I have watched this pair 90 % of their careers. But only just noticed how long Courtney's arms are.. He was a great finger n grip type fast bowler, Ambrose was all wrist n bounce.. Great pair n great friends too it seems. Have so much great memories due to these guys.. Eternally grateful.... Thanks

The West Indies have never really been the same since Walsh and Ambrose retired and once Brian Lara was gone that was pretty much it.

Watching this still gave me goosebumps as it did when I was a kid in the 90s. Could copy Ambrose's action. Man, what a time it was! Batsman fearing bowlers all over the world.

For me Ambrose is the best of all time. Look at his strike rate against Australia when the Aussies were at their peak.

As a kid, I called them "Courtney-Curtly the gentle giants" of cricket! I still hope that someday the West Indies cricket team will rise from the ashes and produce such giants!

I remember Ambrose and Walsh's last match together in the West Indies against Pakistan. We won the match but boy was that a sad day.........you don't see your sporting heroes getting old and retiring especially when you're a child.

Being a Pakistani I have always ranked Ambrose and Walsh above Ws, though they might have more talent but the fact that west indian duo were willing to sacrifice for each other actually was something which Wasim and Waqar never did, their politics and jealousy actually ruined the era in which Pakistan should have ruled cricket.

CC or C Square as I used to call them became the GREATEST EVER because one they were great friends, two they would back up each other, three they knew their roles in the team and last but most importantly they never tried to prove who was better even when spectators and commentators were comparing them. They had their own styles and they were both scary, intimidating and effective. The best there was and the best there ever will be.

it's hard to leave Viv .. but we already have two attacking and destructive Batsman Like Sobers and Gilchrist so I went for Allan Border who is the toughest Lower Middle position Batsman with Great Overseas Records, who can bat whole day and Save Matches for you .. and above is not the best 11 but I made 11 which is Hard to beat and These Above All Players in above List Possesed Different Key Attribute in their Playing Approach which is Different and Unique from One another Player which ultimately help the team to win the Match . That's why I wrote in the caption as the most unbeatable 11 ever instead of Best 11 because in best 11 you mostly find better batsman but in unbeatable 11 you can also find lots of great performer as well like border who are not so graceful but their determination and gritty approach help the team to win.. And everything cant be measure by just Statistics as I told you before in many times by giving you some examples.. George headley was more Depended than sachin as headley carried the average team on his shoulder throughout his whole career and headley hold the record of scoring the most percentage of his team runs more than any other player. And ambrose on his day was unplayable along with waqar younis and he played so less test in India and Pakistan so we can't dispute the argument by assuming that he couldn't perform their if he could have played more test in Asia. Curtly is their for various reason and he didn't failed in pak despite of playing just 2 test. And 50 % Statistics + 50 % other major Ingredients and factors like X Factors , Demolish the opposition when their team needed the most, Fearsome Persona with advantage of Being tall which gives extra Deadly Bounce and Pace.. Overseas record which above all the players has... And many other unexplainable Aspects needs Along with individual players overall Statistics to measure their true Greatness which Ambrose , Border , Headley had who are Lone Warrior and Match Winner for their Team.
