Town Planners have an integral role in the management and development of management and development of cities, towns, villages and the countryside ensuring appropriate development takes place. They have a great understanding of regulations and apply this knowledge to help individuals, companies and governments creatively and profitably improve communities whilst balancing conflicting demands of housing, industrial development, agriculture, recreation, transport and the environment.
Philip provides invaluable insights into his role as a Planner. Growing up with an interest in law and geography, but not quite getting the grades to pursue law at university, Philip combined his passions and pursued a career in Town Planning. He shares insights into how the responsibilities evolve over time and his advice for those starting out.
