Star or not its on him. He has amazing skillset and is very smart! Now he needs a path. I can clearly see him playing as 4 if he shoots 3s at good percentage. Or muscle up and stay as 5. Guy is one of a kind.

It will all depend on defense. He needs to have a plan to not get abused because of his slow feet. If he can figure that out, he will be successful. Otherwise, he’ll be a liability. It’s that simple.

Sengun is a combination of old (great fundamentals) and modern big man (great passing and iq in basketball) His footwork remind me of hakeem and his passing remind me of jason williams

I love sengun. I came into this year thinking my favorite rookie would be jalen but sengun is by far my favorite. I hope eventually maybe we can put him at the 4 or the 5 for a starting position

To be honest, he is my favorite rookie right now. He has one of the best footwork already out of all of the bigs today. He just needs to work on his defense, foot movement and shooting and he will be a top player in the future for sure..

His refined post game reminds me of a former Rocket from about 10-15 years ago who was money from those spots in Luis Scola. But his handles and court vision are his own upsides. As long as he improves his lateral footwork and strength so he won't be beat in man to man matchups, he can definitely be a starter quality player. Plus a young team without a stable point guard can always use a big man with handles and good passing vision as an offensive hub.

I hope houston know the value of şengün. If şengün got the place as one of main player in the team he can develope and become an allstar in the league. He said in one interview silas also know that my body is not ready for nba schedule right now thats the main reason he is playing less minutes because nba and turkish league schedules are too different his body is not ready for that also he has some rule problems that he needs to adjust himself again if coach place him in the team as a main player give him minutes and the ball plays around him he hopefully and probably will grow to an allstar. Alpi definitely has the high ceiling to become an All Star. At age 19 he is possessing a great offensive skill set. And has more areas to grow as you highlighted in the vid such 3 pt and mid range game. Defence is especially foul trouble is where Alpi should focus on. I believe by only improving 3pt, he should be an All Star. After Memo , Money Okur he can be the second NBA All Star out of Turkey.

Great analysis! Would love to see more videos on on other nba players. Most analysis videos describe obvious things but dont go that deep. I watched Alpi a lot but didnt realise he uses his left hand that much for example. + Alpi is for sure a future all star as long as he is in a team where he can play the point center role.

But obviously you know more about basketball so i would watch any analysis from any nba player you think is unique in some kind. Memo Okur would be great though :)

The guy that reminds me about him the most is Boris Diaw. Their games are so similar, Sengun is just a bit taller. I really wanted my Spurs to draft him.

this is the best video i have watched about sengun. none of the others shown examples from his bad defense. now it makes sense to me why he is coming from the bench.

I think it is his struggle to defend, that shows him bad in defense. Most of his team mates do nothing in defense. They don't even try. Alperen tries, and fails due to his lack of body size and athleticism.

Play Alperen if he can improve his 3-pointers, he will have no shortage.he needs to be strengthened.He should increase speed.He makes a significant contribution to the team for the time being. At only 19, I have no doubt that he will be a star basketballer if he doesn't get injured too often. I wish Alperen continued success, lots of love from Turkey

Sengun is definitely one of Houstons foundation pieces moving forward. I wouldn't be surprised if they traded Wood this season or in the offseason.

Segnun has all the tools become an all star he's a taller more skilled zbo. Zbo was not only strong and a ahrd worker but he was skilled. Sengun elite playmaking skills and post moves . He is just 19. All he needs to do is keep his head down and train and train and train. When Jokic or Porzingis came to league , they both were skinny. And now just look at them. You can easily see the difference in their muscle mass before and now with naked eye.

I Think what l am seen now with his 27 point 11 rebounds, 8 assists he is getting better, he has to work on his free trows and 3 pointer, where an other Turkish player, Korkmaz can help him with or Cedi Osman or Yurtseven an other great Turk
