Clutter keeps me from creating. It stresses me out, which triggers my anxiety. Pretty colours and New Goodies get my juices flowing to create and play in my craft room. I love colour and texture.

Why have I not come across your videos before???? I LOVED IT! Subscribed & headed to your blog. I bought 1 stamp & & 1 die from SU! & it cost $75. I won't be doing that too often! I am addicted to bright colors & bling, so Doodlebug is one of my fave companies. Thanks for the awesome video loved your honesty!

Feeling like my card needs to be perfect stresses me out….or not feeling like I took what was in my head and brought it to fruition. Cool techniques and learning a new way to use a product is cool and gets me going. I want my supplies to stretch.

What holds me back most is feeling overwhelmed with all the stuff I have and not knowing where to begin. Having it organized helps some. Getting started is half the battle. What inspires me most is seeing a technique or a finished card that I love and then thinking how can I take that and make it my own.

I have watched only a few of your videos but I'm quickly becoming a fan. Your honesty is so refreshing. I have attempted SU twice and got dropped because I couldn't meet the $$ requirement. I still buy SU once in a great while, but I'm outraged by the pricing and the new colors every two years. I am also a doodle bug, echo park, and bobunny paper hoarder as well. So thank you for your honesty and for sharing your beautiful hauls.

Amen to everything you voiced in this video. My mind is blown how you voiced many of my own thoughts in this video and I'm sure many others can relate. I am faithful to none when it comes to all the different crafty brands and products out there. I will say though, if Echo Park were to go out of business, I would never quite recover from the loss. I hoard this paper like no other paper I have. You are talented and have made awesome makes with products you've chosen to use. Congrats to doing what makes your heart happy whatever it may be. I left SU about nine years ago. It was odd at first but I am loving having my creative freedom to use what I want. I still will buy some SU but I love my Tim Holtz goodies as well as a lot of other companies. Su has great stuff and they have gotten better about mixing it up but it still all has the same look. So much stuff out there to not enjoy !

Yes! Yes! Yes! So good to hear your honest opinions..l have a ton of S'U stuff but am a little disappointed about the repetition of some designs. Like picking the eyes out of various sets and resizing. Also considering it's a worldwide company it is still very much centred around USA. I told myself l would only have S'U stuff. After the last catalogues, l am going to break out and shop for just what makes me want to use it RIGHT NOW. Thanks so much for opening my eyes😀 Chris from Aussie.

Yes … but that 4x6 SU card pack happens to be stunning. But … just getting to know you Inkie, and I am on your same path. OMG even ordered a few stamp sets from other companies! Did you notice Tim Holtz puts labels on their red rubber? Doesn’t that make it soooo much easier to stamp straight?! I frequently miss especially when it counts on sentiment stamps …. Thank you MIF, you have a non-apologetic, no-nonsense attitude I would like to have more of!!

The MFT otters are much cuter - some of the MFT sentiments aren't as useful for me, though, because to me too many of them read 'romantic relationship,' and I am very single.

I love your honesty about different products...it is so refreshing. As a SU demonstrator I find that the cardstock is the prime reason I stay with the company. I too am a 6 X 6 collector. I love the background papers. I have loved Echo Park and Cio Bella for a long time and also Bo Bunny. I had never heard of Honey Bee but the Tim Holtz type pad you showed...got to have it. My hubby has Parkinson's so I am pretty much housebound, so your videos and on-line shopping and my three fur babies are my salvation. Your wit and humor brings a smile to my face and makes my heart happy. Stay well, stay safe and never lose that wonderful gift of sharing with other. Hugs from Saginaw, Texas.

I agree about the cardstock (and the ink that matches) But I just had a convo last night with someone who's 'just buying whatever' to make her minimums. So one has to ask themself, how much are you saving when you're buying stuff you wouldn't normally have bought otherwise. I know that for me, my room will start to fill with things I'm absolutely in love with. So excited! 😁💗

I have a disabled spouse also, so I have started making cards. Mostly thank you and some holiday ones. Then I found out about junk journals and travel journals and now I am doing those. I love watching Cindy-Lynn for her honesty and seeing her create cards and DIY things with fresh eyes. 💕

So, yes I was a S U demonstrator too, ( many years ago), because I loved the inks and papers. The stamping sets were wonderful too but over the years I definitely noticed the stamp sets were so disappointing as being repeats or just poor drawing quality. That sounds harsh but really I wonder Who is drawing these illustrations! Of course there are exceptions where the illustrations are excellent but the combinations of sentiments and the illustrations are expensive. I do have a rep who I order from to help her out with her business. I still like the quality of the cardstock and how the inks match so that is what I usually buy. Thank you for your honesty!

I am an old time paper crafter. I recently was challenged to make family holiday csrds by my artist trained grand. OMG, I have come alive ( sluggish due to co19). I have been encouraged by on line demers! Made a purchase to become a Stampin Up demo person ( intentions to be a hobbiest only & to save...I thought). Still excited & "meeting" you has given me a comfortable direction & support. AND I realized I could buy my die cuts & stamps sets for a much dif price than offered by SU. I'm w you on your assessment of things. Use my imagination & creativity. So glad to have met you!

I just finished up a year as a Stampin' Up demonstrator. Purchased all the inks, pens, refills and lots of paper and I am glad to have all of that but it will be a long time before I purchase again from them. I learned much from watching many KZfaq by many SU demonstrators but like yourself I not a "one trick pony" and recognize that SU has room for improvement.

Moved on from SU a few years back after I realized their stamps, ink, and paper were not my style. Love the MFT otters, all the pretty paper from different companies, and being able to mix and match. Right now, one of my faves is Concord and 9th- their color palette is updated and fresh. I do still watch SU demos, because I think they are amazing and creative people! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and creativity with us ❤️

Your comments about the Stampin Up products hit the nail on the head. Thought I'd take advantage of the yearly "deal" and save quite a bit of money, but couldn't find enough products that I was crazy about, so opted out. Glad I found your channel!

I’m a new subbie here!! So refreshing. I too fell into the SU! cult 10 years ago. I was a demonstrator for about a year. The bulk of my selling was to myself sadly, just to remain a demonstrator. Too much money, they charge for everything. I too am a doodlebug 6x6 paper hoarder. So stinking cute. MFT is my favorite company with Lawn Fawn right behind. MFT switches out designers every few years to keep fresh and current, which is brilliant. SU! Is stuck in a huge rut and losing people’s interest. I do buy from them occasionally but get annoyed. And you have to use everything from current catalogue. Who has that kind of money?!? I have all my old wood stamp sets (I know, I know) but they were cute and different once. There is so much out there and look forward to watching your videos using other companies.

I love the Imagine sponge dauber! I have some really old colored ink daybeds (forget company name right now) and they are still really inky and usable, but I can’t find them anymore. The ink is a lot like Tim Holts distress inks. They’re great for stenciling, so I’m sure the one you got will work great with stencils; hence, I’m in search of the Imagine in various colors now! Thank you!

You are hilarious. So glad I came across your channel. Totally agree with u about SU. I was a rep too and left because all I was doing was hoarding because I couldn’t keep up. By the time I would receive my order they would discontinue the items.

I’m saddened to hear you’re dropping SU. I was a demo 15 years ago, and loved it! I dropped when I went back to teaching 5th grade full time, but I continued to purchase sporadically over the years. When I found you, I found SU again and have been so pleased with your product recommendations. Full disclosure, I have an entire bedroom tricked out for my crafting pleasure, and have it filled with many brands. The one thing I think Stampin Up does better than anyone else (and I own it all) is their inks and colored card stock. I hope you stay with Stampin Up as I respect your opinion and am inspired by your ideas. Best of luck either way! Lisa (from Dublin, Ohio)

@@_MyInkieFingers I agree with LIsa Curry above. I so appreciate your honesty with the SU products. I am a demonstrator but just for my own use to get the discount. There are many, many things I love about SU, but I also have a craft room filled with many, many other brands and I buy only what I love. Please continue to do SU and give us your honest opinion on products. I agree with you so many times, but there are times when our likes and dislikes part ways. I'm not offended when you say you dislike the rainboots ... I happen to love them. LOL But on the other hand, I didn't buy any of the bee products because I found bee products elsewhere that I loved, so that company got my money. It's YOUR MONEY so spend it where you want!!

Wow! Fantastic haul!!! I did SU for five years or so and just had to walk away. A couple of my card making friends started referring to SU as a cult… just joking. But in actuality, there were some similarities. If you enjoy SU, keep on with it. But if you are experiencing pressure, stress and inadequacies, maybe it’s time to move on. xo

I love your honesty! I keep trying to convince myself that SU is great, but it is still multi-level marketing and every one of my hobby demo purchases is sending an upline on fancy trips. The discount isn't enough when you compare quality and versatility with the other suppliers. SU also isn't reacting correctly to the supply chain issues. Having a fantastic variety of out-of-stock products isn't quite the way to go. I have a 2' stack of DSP, but still gravitate to my Echo Park paper first!

The discount is completely moot and void when you're buying stuff 'just to make your minimum'. Not to mention you end up with a bunch of stuff you weren't at the door stalking the UPS (or mail) truck for! 🤣🤣🤣

But please take the cold back, it's freezing 🥶 here in Austin Texas lol. Patina is that teal color that happens to copper. I'm kind of a paper addict too....it's hard not to be. Honestly, there are some name brands that are just outrageous in price! "You want HOW MUCH FOR THAT?" If I can't get my creative stuff (I do fine art too) at competitive prices I'm just not gonna buy it unless I consider it to be a reasonable price. Or unless I really need something to do a project with, I can wait. And I'm always looking for bargains!

With a few passes through the machine yes 💗😁 (but the 80lb is easier and better for everyday stamping. The 120lb is normally for card bases 😉)

Feeling like I should have everything else done before I let myself craft holds me back. I can't wait for your word Svg lesson!!!! A couple companies I LOVE are A Colorful Life Designs, and Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. A Colorful Life Designs has 1 stamp set and the rest is all stencils. The edger stencils are freaking AMAZING! I don't have, or want, them all but I ADORE the ones I have! The silhouette stamps from Blue Knight take several presses to get right, but they are fantastic, and let my background making loving heart USE UP some backgrounds!!

Thank you for always sharing your honest opinion here!! Back in the day, SU was the trendsetter. Now, I feel like they’re trying to play catch up. It’s been rather disappointing. There are so many small stamp companies out there that I prefer to give my money to. You bought an amazing assortment of paper packs! Have you heard of Mintay papers? They’re stunning! So, I am a hobby demo… because I like getting the discount! However I don’t have a lot of customers because I choose not to push it. It’s funny, I have always liked SU but rarely get rid of the sets I love and I’m not crazy about many of the papers they have brought out recently. I love Echo Park paper, and Vicki Boutin products are some of my favorites. And I have a room full of multi media product from multiple designers. Graphics 45 anyone? So many things to choose from. Tim Holtz, Dina Weakly, Looking forward to seeing your cards from those pretty papers…

I'm where you are with SU!! I just let people know on my FB page that after this month I am dropping my shopping site. I am having too much fun with all of my things, not just SU. I take part in a fun collab on YT, and it's full of really kind and nice people, and right now wood block rubber stamps are a big thing. I get tickled when you talk about Todd because we have a Chihuahua named Todd, and guess what....a '65 Mustang sitting in the garage! Happy stamping ;)

Hi from Harrow, London, UK. I just found you on KZfaq. I recently left SU as a hobby demo as my upline moved out of the country and I had no one near me to help and advise me. I was happy with most if their products, but having recently retired, did not have the funds any more to meet the monthly targets. I also found that there were other stamping products that I liked more that were cheaper! X

HI Christine, you're in the same boat as thousands of others with struggling to meet the minimums due to lack of funds or excitement over the product. You're likely saving money when you just buy things here and there rather than buy stuff because you have to make your minimum. 😁💗

Hi there, I watched your other video about your medicine & what done to you. I'm taking something for lung disease & my big heart. I contracted pneumonia 15x from chemical exposure at work. These docs have given me medicine that makes me confused all day & every. If i stop taking them I might have a heart attack. I can't barely leave the house. They don't know but I try to take less as possible so I can try to get control of my brain. I used to be a Corrections Officer make jewelry, but now my day is like groundhog's day. I have start over because I forget & sometimes it's backwards. It's a rat in a maze. It's horrible what these medications can do to you. It helps one but destroys the rest of your body.. I know how you feel & what you are going through. You are the only one knows what I'm going through. Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts. Stay strong. I wish I had someone to talk to besides a doctor.

I don't buy Stampin' Up, but I follow you anyway because I love your honesty and techniques. The thing I love about 6x6 and 8x8 pads is the cost. They're usually really affordable. I don't think I'd ever pay $15USD for a 6x6 paper pad (I get 3 12x12 paper pads for less than that during a Michael's sale 🤣) I'm so glad to see you branching out, good luck in your next venture. You seem so much happier in this video, looking at those adorable otters 😀 Can't wait to see what you do next (especially for the Scan n Cut).

Currently I am a hobby SU demonstrator. I also purchase from Altenew…love their flowers and layering dies and Gina K because her kits are great value and I love her Master Layouts dies. I occasionally purchase from other companies like MFT, etc. I am considering dropping SU being so disappointed with the new mini catalogue and Saleabration. I ordered nothing this month and probably won’t this quarter. I watched your video with the SU unboxing and totally agreed with most everything you said. BTW…DSP paper in this video with the aqua (verdigris) color added to the brown planks is easy to make by swiping stamp pads across the paper. Gina K shows the technique in several of her videos.

Hi Cindy Lynn! Oh wow, love the paper stash! SU papers, regular are NZ$24.25. The specialty one's are NZ$32. As much as I like some of them, it's bloody pricey. I love the other set of otter stamps you got, way more wordy thingies too. 😃❤. Have to say, that some of the colours that SU chooses can be freaking vile. Re the jungle paper, and the pet paper from 2020. Whimsy have some really funny stamps. Creativity wise, I have over active imagination syndrome, I get inspiration from nature and photos. Just wanted to say, thanks for sharing 👍 (P.S. We in New Zealand and Australia are still waiting for all the new products, including sale bration to be available 😭)

I am a su demo in the uk and yes I shop and show other things in my channel and I mix them up in videos. I do think that they could lower the price on somethings and bring out other things that go with the inks like dew drops ( like nova drops) I like the fact that the inks and cards go together as we don’t have a lot of choices in the uk .and I now only buy what I would use or what I can get the most out off it

WoW! I am such a fan. I am also a Stampin’Up demonstrator, or at least was. I can’t afford to be any more because of their requirements. I also don’t like the the comments that I get when I use other brands. Why stick to ONLY Stampin’Up??? May I ask where you buy your products from Canada? I am from Quebec (Sherbrooke) and besides Michael’s, I don’t know if a store that ships in Canadian $$. Thank you for your honesty on products. It feels good to know that I am not alone.

Thanks for this video. I do love some SU products but hate the retiring gimmick and such. Their Otter set was a total disappointment. Have been a demonstrator just for a year and don't think I will continue. I live un the U.S. so the discount makes it a little more affordable. Keep doing you as I think your awesome and refreshing.

the pattern you love, of the boards, s it peeling paint? I am so bad, about 4 years ago, a friend knew of someone that was selling their mothers who passed away craft supplies for $100. so I bought it. wow I am still using the paper, pens, paints, stamps, you name it. I have not had to buy any paper. and I buy from estate sells when a artist passes and the last day, I buy what's leftover. I know it sounds creepy, but I get some great supplies on a budget. Then I can share my supports with my children's church group. One of the reasons I don't buy is exactly what your talking about. I dont like the patterns, I will take plain white paper and make my own design before I will pay for crap designs I wont use.
