@@qweqwek what item build you using, i've been trying out kayasange, aghs, bloodstone, shiva, its very op if u get there, high damage and high lifesteal. but the build up is quite shit, if one of your lane loses its hard to get to that point without sacrificing your own scaling ( im plat qop btw )

I used to max Q because its annoying in lane but E is the real damage dealer for teamfights and for last hit secure on laning creeps. I guess if you have melee or short range matchup its ok to go for Q. But against Lina if you come close to cast your Q she can deal massive damage to you before you cast your Q.

I think he was being mana economical cause of the revenant's.

Q no longer provides lifesteal like it used to. Overall not a super useful skill unless you're using the "succubus" facet. Or if it's super late game and you have enough gold for aghs blessing.

you do deal significantly more damage with the facet especially early on you can basically flash farm faster than usual. Self-damage can be mitigated by spell lifesteal and you always get bottle anyways. Dagon, SnK, BKB seems to be the way to go then relace dagon with Bloodstone.
