Thank you Dr. Jacob for the teachings. I believe wives don't have a problem supporting their husbands the challenge is where the man just becomes comfortable and lazy enjoying being taken care of. A man should show he is trying he is making effort.

Respect for a husband must be earned and not demanded. If man complains that his wife does not respect him it means he has not done much to earn her respect. Actions speak louder than words.
@jumakohath4522

@M S. The same applies to a woman. Respect, care, love and everything for a woman MUST be earned. Not given nor a favour nor a right. No one between a man and woman have given rights that are superior or a priority over the other. We must acknowledge the divine purpose of God creating a man and woman. A woman is a man's helper not a boss. None is special than the other. We are equal and deserve equal respect, attention, love and care

Wives, respect your husbands... That wasn't a suggestion. My friend you are deceived by feminism. Let me tell you... The reason you say a husband must earn respect is because you don't want to take responsibility for the man you married. You are playing the victim Marriage is a choice... Once a man is your husband, you must respect him
@TheForgivenman

And by the way @M S what were you doing during courtship... That was the place to check whether he is worthy of respect and thus marriage. You don't marry the person then start thinking afterwards. Take responsibility

I find myself taking notes every time I listen to your messages, yet this was not my habit before. I pray that God may continually bless you and grant you the wisdom to continue impacting the lives of men.

Well said Dr...These are priceless things that constitute positive humanism.A man is the weaker gender in a marriage in terms of love compared to a woman. What destroys most relationships is simply EXPECTATIONS....It comes a times , they take a downward curve.For instance, a wife -husband attention sharply falls immediately when a couple becomes parents.Whereas, the wife expects the husband to understand the mother-child bond to be a priority, the husband feels neglected, giving birth to new associations that eventually harm marriages....Maintaining expectations form and kind notwithstanding, is huge task in marriages. Without Prejudice.

but the problem is girls nowadays only focus on money that a man has...she'll never look into his other qualities carefully as long as he's flashing a fat wallet, so when she gets her heart broken by a bad tycoon who is also a serial cheater, the man is entirely blamed, while all along her eyes were just on the yummy money.

I am just tired of speakers who just focus on what men want, women are just tired of the burden that marriages are becoming. Please focus on what makes a woman fulfilled and happy in a marriage. Please use your platform to let men know they have a responsibility physically, emotionally and presence . I think a lot of young women are not aspiring marriage because it looks like just demand on women with no reward. A tired woman

100% correct, I have tried to carry myself very well to man I dated for 5 years. I found many manuals, I followed everything to the tee. But he abused me, he was never satisfied, I deserve a crown for giving him all . All that whatever remained for me.to give him was my life. Yes life, he watched me.wasting way from the stress of his abuse, and I think he enjoyed that I was wasting away, loosing weight,being sick , crying etc. I walked out of that relationship living dead. God knows I was the best woman for him. My boundaries were not respected, I was trauma bonded, I didn't loose hope so fast, I held on hoping he will change but nothing. 1 year out of the relationship ,collecting the crashed pieces of me. It hurts.

I agree with you Janet. This is why Dr. Munroe remains one of the greatest family and relationship teacher of the 21st Century. Dr. Myles addressed the Male Man, because he knew that The Male, is God's blue print for the human family. Women are Incubators, Responders and Multipliers by nature. Men are Givers, Cultivators, Protectors and Defenders. African Pastors are afraid to confront Men and Boys because of their Male Ego. Until the time when Men will take down their pride and talk to other Men and Boys, Family will not change. Addressing the Male is the Key to a stable Family. Women will just follow, it is their nature by Creation.

Thank you Pastor. What a great message. I consider the same 8S for my wife. Above all it is all about burying selfishness and being mindful about one another. Once a man sacrifices and forsake what he needs and considers what his wife needs, and the wife does the same, there will be sense in the relationship. Blame game, selfishness and feeling special than the other partner are the key spoilers and destroyers of relationship. Both men and women need equal attention and treatment in a relationship (marriage). To me, the needs of my wife comes first. The same way to my wife, my needs come first to her.

I totally agree that it's bad for a wife to abandon her husband when he is facing challenges. But sometimes this happens because, when this man is doing well financially, he abandons the family and spends that money with other women, then comes back to his wife when all the money is gone, and he's lost his job. That other woman doesn't want him anymore because the money that she was milking from him is no longer there.

Thank you Dr. Jacob for the teaching, I have to agree with some of the comments here, I'm sure we all have our own stories to tell for days lol, if it's any other woman in my shoes I'm sure divorce papers would've been filled already, Im in a marriage of drug abuse, both of us unemployed, 2 boys on school, unemployed daughter with a baby, husband refuses to work, or to support me as a husband should, I'm at home since covid started nd I just can't get back up on my feet anymore like I used to... Many women out there wants to support, love, nd be loved by their husbands, but we just get so tired to carry all the responsibilities, nd the marriage alone we just get so tired... Have u ever heard that a husband says No to his wife? I'm talking about in the bedroom, finances, security, stability,etc. u start to feel like brother and sister lol... There's no more a "we"... I'm a single mom nd woman in a marriage. only thing that keeps me going is prayers, my kids, family I'm sure God has a season and expiring date for everything. May God bless you for all ur hard work

Thank you for that wisdom. My husband never had my back never my hand and never asked me to marry him. I had to say after 4 years what are your intentions? He cheated on me once on a trip overseas. He had no reason to do that. He was well looked after. I loved him for 22 years then my life fell apart. He had many trips overseas with work. We had a handicapped child I looked after for years. I nursed hubby with cancer twice. He never told me he loved me ever. His mother was j witness. I grew up in a religious school so this really broke my heart. F

That is your own standard and not of God, the bible in ephesians5 says wives submit to your husband and husbands love your wives just as Christ loves church and gave himself for her

Now who is going to devote time and teach on what women want in marriage,we have had these teachings for a long time but love has to be reciprocal.there has to be a balance because women also need to be treated well. There's need for a shift where men are taught on what women also want

A man is not the best person to teach you what a woman wants. That should come from a woman so look for women preachers who speak about these.. there are so many of them!

Don't waste our time ,marriage is out dated institution,beyond redemption ladies liberate this need to free yourself,it takes the life out of you,and make you an empty soul.Pray, love yourself ,you are complete,don't need Aman to fulfill your life,find your own fulfillment minus all the crap,I detest the way women have conditioned themselves

Look very well, most men who feel they are not being respected by their wives are men who don't show love to their wives. Women want to feel loved. Love and respect is reciprocal.

Ooh my!you just broke my heart when you talk about divorce marriage is until death that's what the scriptures say and a woman can't leave her husband and marry another one she can get separated but stay alone only a man can remarry the same case with church and Christ Jesus the church can't leave Christ but Christ can leave the church, people need more revelation in the word of God otherwise they will misled many soo sad.😢😢😢

Dr Jacob you are a true example of what a husband should be like, I love the way how you speak very highly of your wife. God bless your union. Your prayer was so touching, it made me cry. I have been down that road I tried my best but only God knows. It was very stressful so I had to let go.
