▶︎▶︎ Max Verstappen has undoubtedly been one of the hottest topics in the past couple of months, particularly because he has been caught in the middle of the entire Red Bull internal powershift. Talks about his future in this uncertain environment have been ongoing for a while and now it seems like the 3-time world champion is closer to a move to Mercedes than ever, especially if we are to look at the form of the Silver Arrows and their progress during the mid-season development war. With 12 more races to go in 2024, as well as many upgrades to come to the W15, can Mercedes assure Verstappen that they have what he needs in order to continue the dominance from 2025 onwards?

With the issues at RB and Toto Wolff bending over to make sure Mercedes is still in the running. If I was in Russell shoes, I would be sweating knowing that my boss is pushing for Max when I am supposed to take the position that Lewis left behind.

Max is loyal, and the fact that he has the same manager as his dad had way back when tells a lot about his personality. Blood is thicker than water! You might want to ask yourself why up until HornDog Gate Jos wasn't in the limelight. Max, in his position, can't be outspoken with regards to his team principal... Jos can...

@@larrytasker7043In Max’ contract it also says that Jos IS ONLY A REGULAR VISITOR AT THE GARAGE AND IS ONLY ALLOWED AT 50% OF THE RACES… Marko has put that in Max’ contract from day 1 in 2015….. So stating that as rule in any Merc contract wouldn’t make any difference 😂😂 Jos would be causing mayhem like he does now at RBR at Merc too….. he simply goes to Telegraaf, the Dutch gutter newspaper and would tell lies and accusations without being in the paddock, just as he does now.

No chance Mercedes cannot consistently provide what Max expects. These results mean very little in the bigger picture. A move to Aston improved by Newey would be a better choice..imo...if it pans out. The kind of fight and development that 4x Max would find interesting. And the evil Horner talk is just talk because Max never communicates his opinions, off track, to the press.....so keep guessing. I suspect Max will leave F1 sooner than most believe. And follow Alonso into Endurance series and probably GT Cars.

It is still Possible Saints or Verstappen is going to MB with Adrian Newey. If Verstappen and Adrian Newey going to MB. Then Saints can go to RB. He is one of the top drivers of the Grid. Looks like Saints also doesn't like to start from the bottom again like Audi. 2025 Is the good transition year to prepare for the new 2026 regulations. You keep the good drivers or Swap it before the 2025 season start. Adrian Newey can also go to AM or Ferrari... it is a nice speculative thoughts :)

How about the new ford engine? We hear nothing out that machine. Also the powertrain factory is very quiet. Adrian Newey stated last season that the RB20 is at the end of its development 😢

Ford is only a sticker sponsor! RBPT builds the engine and Ford only puts their sticker on it. Ford does NOTHING for the engine! Horner and Ford announced that at the presentation 2years ago. Ford only advises on the battery part. That’s it. Nothing more. Its only a RBPT FORD engine in name cos of the sticker…that’s it. RBPT factory has former Honda and former Merc engine engineers, they design and build the engine. Not Ford.

Max will be 4 times WDC this year, while just turning 28 years (!!) young this September. He is also already worth a few hundred million so money to him is not a deciding factor..... Wether or not under current rules staying at RB might cost him the 2025 (5th) WDC, should not be that high on the list. The fact that Merc and McLaren seem to be on track to have the fastest car in 2025, is a side note in that sense. It's 2026 that counts! WHO will he trust most to provide him INSTANTLY with a WDC potential winning car? RedBull...shaky ground considering the rumors about their (rumored) powerplant worries. Merc....they got it wrong years ago so who says they will NAIL it this time with new regs? Ferrari...hit and miss since lord knows when....gamble. McClaren....who knows whay THEY are up to for 2026? AUDI program....will take too much time to get the car right. My guess? Max will stay at RB in 2025, renogiating his contract in such way that he can go where ever he wants during 2026 when the fog lifts. There is NO team on the grid that would not happily fire their "main driver" with Max. Young Mr. Verstappen has ALL the cards in his hands - and the team around him will play them beautifuly.

Here’s another take on the current situation. Maybe, just maybe Verstappen’s management is working out a deal with Mercedes already, a deal that most likely would include Marko maybe even JP? That deal wouldn’t be announced until the final part of the season maybe even after the final race. Why? Because an earlier announcement would probably lead to the complete implosion of Red Bull and therefore threaten Verstappen’s championship run. Toto knows Mercedes won’t be a championship contender and a customer team winning the championship would be worst than your new star driver, despite the fact he’s driving for your main competitor.. Mercedes thinks long term and the fact that the CEO of Daimler made such a clear statement regarding a potential future driver is highly unusual and therefore very telling. Toto won’t mind making snidey comments until that announcement…

Cause he doesn't deserve it given his form lol. If it wasn't for Russell's DNF, he wouldn't have won. Lewis was a consistent beast, but now he's a "great driver" and that doesn't qualify for an amazing contract lol. Like it or not, that's facts. Toto ain't dumb to let him slip.

lol what about Silverstone ? Do you have selective hearing? I’m not even trying to be mean nor am I a merc fan. My money is on Norris but Wolff literally mentioned it in his statement which is repeated verbatim in this video when he says “even though we took advantage of the entanglement at Austria, Silverstone was an honest win. It most likely would have even been a 1-2 had Russel stayed in the race. I don’t even need to mention all the other wins and podiums. ESP compared to the beginning of this season. Or maybe you just don’t follow f1 and just because you “watch” f1 doesn’t mean you know what’s going on and all the tension/politics going on IN and BETWEEN every team on the grid. Each team mate in each team consider one another rivals. So for someone like myself to read something like this gets under my skin. Like I said not a fan of Mercedes but we must give credit when it’s due. Okay Verstappen? Enough with the childish comments. Fast cars are not forever. Do your research everyone always falls off. Its life. We all win some we lose some

Mercedes Win in Austria because Verstappen and Noris DNF, and Silverstone two Rounds more Verstappen get Lewis with a Damnage Underground from the Car, can only Repair the Damnage not Change, Change is a Penalty, the Wins from Mercedes was lucky not more

Sainz and verstappen clashed because they have the same ego and entitlement, and not have daddy interfering all the time... Just sainz was coming along second and trying to fight to take over from the big and young already a hit, already No1 in the team. He's older and knows how to "style out" and make excuses for/gaslighting comments to justify and attempt to hide the ego level and make comments that butter up what he plays at. He's more media savvy with it but the same base things are all there, especially the interference from daddy issues
