What the last dance did for us during the pandemic was not only give us something to do and watch , but it showed Jordan is by far the best player to ever lace up a pair of shoes , no more comparison should be made towards him

As someone who grew up watching tons of Jordan documentaries; the last dance highlighted some things that were already known to me like how Jordan was a fierce competitor, maybe at the expense of being a better teammate sometimes. I think I'm also one in the minority that didn't really took away Scottie on a negative light after the doc despite the poor portrayal as I saw the motivations behind his decisions and the unseen impact he had on that dynasty although I've definitely soured on him with the recent book reveal he did. Hopefully, him and MJ cross paths and fix their relationship cause it's truly a tragedy to have the best duo in basketball history not get along.

I didn’t think it was that bad. I remember hearing something Scottie wouldn’t like was in it, but I thought I missed it. I watched all that stuff with Scottie live. So I already knew all of that, too. I just don’t understand why Scottie would say he would do it again but then get mad because it was in the doc.

Most of the blowback was from Scottie, who also contacted Horace Grant and John Paxton about how MJ portrayed them as if they were just his sidekicks that helped him win. They knew back then they were labeled as Jordan and the Bulls. But the other blowback came from media, aka Bron fanboys who felt it was an agenda piece to prove he's the 🐐, instead of their boy, LBJ. Well, most of us already know that and didn't need the Last Dance to prove it. I was a teen and in my 20s during that Bulls run and witnessed the greatness of Mike. LBJ fans just need to get over it.

Scottie's problem was he never owned his behaviour, he still thinks that was a reasonable thing to do in response to being passed over as the go to shot maker in clutch time. He's not sorry, but he's also not bold enough to wear his arrogance in spite of popular opinion; too sensitive. Most of Scottie's problems seem to be a result of Scottie handicapping himself.

What a unique opportunity to yet find ways to honor and contrast the NBA GREATS or ELITE. Michael Jordan will be a part of the conversation throughout the future existence of the NBA, enormously because of his fantastic contribution or gift that helped revolutionize the NBA globally. This is why he is The G.O.A.T and is honorably the best above those considered “The Elite’. So, respectfully I give my opinion, that both Kobe and LeBron we're exceptional players coming into the NBA. Still, neither could have elevated the NBA to the status it is today. And, though they both deserves being held as NBA greats, unlike MJ they both needed or had too acquire help to achieve their championship status. So, in conclusion, I find this podcast to be one of a kind and highly anticipated. History revolves around the future fans and youths that will be the NBA's most incredible supporters. While having the spectator’s opportunity to see and hear from those of the past and present on what it's like to be a part of NBA ROYALTY 👑. When Jackie brought up Hakeem Olajuwon, & Lebron seeking his advice, & help, after Windhorse said Lebron does the opposite, she killed Windhorse & Lebron. “They schmooze for a few minutes, bantering about LeBron's upcoming game, until Jordan leaves, offering this piece of advice: "One dribble, stop and pull up. That's what I want to see." LeBron nods and smiles. "That's my guy," he says. "A lot of players know how to play the game," LeBron says, "but they really don't know how to play the game, if you know what I mean. They can put the ball in the hoop, but I see things before they even happen. You know how a guy can make his team so much better? That's one thing I learned from watching Jordan."

Jordan actually became better than Dr J, so he did great not taking his advice. Lebron definitely should’ve reached out to Jordan, because in Lebron’s 1st 11 full seasons, or 13 overall, he didn’t accomplish close to what Jordan had in that time on the bulls.

@@jerometrio2603 yes, Bron is more like Karl Malone in the post than Hakeem. Very basic moves. At least he finally has a post game now... I've been harping on him not having a post game for most of his career... Even noticed the few times he went to the post during his second cavs stint in the finals, it made the offense better only to frustratingly see him go away from it when he got his team out of huge deficits by going to the post... Because he'd inexplicably go away from what was his true advantage, he'd almost always end up losing games cause he didn't go with what was obviously working better Imagine how unstoppable he'd be if that was his go-to move to end games... As great as Bron is, I still don't think he's ever hit his true potential because he doesn't have an advanced post game or a reliable go-to move. Those two things are also very much related to each other. Ironically, if he developed that side of his game earlier with more advanced moves and feel, it's my opinion there absolutely would not be a discussion as to who the goat is. She talks about relationships, but there are guys who don't really talk to or have a relationship with each other. She makes a point to say that Duncan is not in, even though he should be in by accolades. I really think her thesis needs work. Like what makes Shaq a member, but not Duncan isn't really that clear. Shaq has no relationship with anyone really, but he's in. Membership is never clearly explained. What makes Durant & Steph a member but not KG or Dirk? I like the premise but I felt it fell kinda flat overall.

IMO, and its just an opinion.. Tim Duncan isnt in because he wasnt a face of the league by choice. Didnt do interviews, signature shoes, commercials .. he didnt carry the league like the others. NBA heads know what Tim Duncan meant to the game. But people who never watched an NBA game know Shaq, Kobe, MJ, Magic, Bird, Lebron, I would argue Iverson should be in there but he didnt win... KG and Dirk are NBA legends but not global icons, they are one time champs and league history is filled with those.

I went and looked into this. This take is a reach. She was talking about the harsh reality of business, capitalism, and contracts - and used the word 'property' where she should not have. People make mistakes, especially using words, especially when you're recorded giving opinions every day.

@@Earl_E_Burd How is it a reach when she said those exact words? And it wasn't a spur of the moment accident, she was recounting a conversation she had with Kyrie Irving. These were her words when she was speaking with Kyrie privately and her sentiment remained the same when she unsolicitedly she shared said conversation.

@@369pendulum "contractually obligated" is what I easily interpret from the context. As far as contracts go, contracts do treat people like property. Welcome to the reality of capitalism. Organizing a society of humans is hard. I wish you well in dealing with your stuff so you can quit projecting it on everybody else.

@@Earl_E_Burd That's an employee or contractor. That's a major difference. You could even label them as assets. These are not euphemisms, these are the titles that most aptly fit. You're clearly the one projecting because I'm stating exactly what she said & I didn't insult her or express any anger, I merely repeated what she said. You're the one putting a cape on with dictionary in hand. Her words don't need interpretation. If your boss told you "you are my property", would you apply these same mental gymnastics? If so, just keep the answer to yourself.

Kobe never actually got remotely close… 🤦🏼‍♂️ Listen, Kobe’s an All-Time great that’s obvious but he’s overrated & a deep dive into his career shows some serious inefficiency as a “team player”. If we’re talking one vs. one I don’t know that’s there’s anyone other MJ that I’d rather have, but if we’re talking 5 on 5, Kobe maybe makes the Top 10?? It’s hard to argue Top 10 for a guy that shot 44% for his career, was a defensive liability the entire second half of his career & NEVER ONCE in a 20 year career led the NBA in a single Advanced Analytic category! MJ, Wilt, Russell, Kareem, Lebron all did it over 50x EACH! 🤷🏼‍♂️
