I've been wanting golems made of other ore/blocks since the original golems were added, and im not gonna miss my chance now despite admiting the allay seems more unilitarian. However, I bet in the Copper Golem wins i bet it will get more fleshed out by the devs

it's more based on utility than pets imo, i like the having golem statues as decorations when they oxidize as well.

I WANT to vote for the Glare, since it's an adorable little bush goblin and I love them, but its functionality is not the greatest. It could have been presented so much better! An idea I had for it was if you gave it a Glow Berry, it could become a floating light source, emitting light and entering dark sections of a cave to reveal what's in the dark, maybe even giving a warning sound if monsters are near it. I'd imagine it could be super helpful when spelunking, as well as just being a nice little companion to have. It's just a shame that the Allay and Copper Golem seem much better by comparison. I adore the Glare's design, but I have to admit, it's kind of a trash mob right now. Unless it gets a HEAVY buff in the future to be really useful, Glare is probably the worst option for this vote. Especially since the Allay gives Note Blocks another use and the Copper Golems function for Redstone contraptions and makes for nice decorations, but the Glare doesn't do anything else interesting. I just wish the Glare was better, but for now I'm gonna have to vote for the Allay or Copper Golem.

Allay seems good and copper golem sounds good so it's only a loss if the glare is chosen. The copper golem will add copper buttons and it sounds like it will add a lot more functionality to the copper ore

The Allay kinda resembles a purified or uncorrupted Vex, so that could be pretty interesting, at least lore wise

The whole thing with the Glare not liking darkness and going to the darkness confused me at first as well, but I have come to the conclusion that it runs to the dark to show you where you need to light things up so that it's not mad

Copper golem is my vote. I love the little dudes. The little lightning rod on their heads work and who knows what that could do. I also like the idea of copper being more useful and maybe more electricity mechanics in the future ?¿?¿?

I’m fine with the copper golem or allay, the glare is even more useless due to the fact that mobs now only spawn at light level 0 now, so unless someone is visually impaired and can’t tell if a block is lit by a light source then the glare has no purpose besides its design

I personally prefer the design of the Glare and the Copper Golem, but what were they thinking making two mobs who add nothing to the game? Glare has basically already become redundant due to the buff to light sources and Copper Golem with buttons is seemingly just a glorified chicken with pressure plates. Then there’s the Allay who’s almost completely unique in every aspect and even add some lore to the vexes.

I feel like the copper golem can be used as an actual rng for redstone contraptions. just for when you need a random input

My opinions to give some views: Glare - seems cute, feature seems kinda redundant to me, if the features were to be added, just add it to the bat. Allay - would be quite cool to have this passive vex who fetches stuff, looks very cute too. Gotta remember, it can't break blocks, open containers, etc, so the main possible use is to act like a flying hopper, so similar to the Copper golem, it does just seem like a reskinned feature with some minor differences. Copper Golem - redstone rng mob seems super fun, looks like it'd be great for decoration too. I'm personally feeling this child most, with Allay in second, but honestly if we saw both the Allay and Copper Golem, with the Glare features added to the bat so it's less useless, sign me the shorts up!

I really hope the Allay gets picked, it's just a friend who also loves music, and would be kinda perfect for fantasy style maps. And they're just so cute!!

Something a lot of people are unaware of with the Allay, it only picks up items on the ground, it can't break anything or smelt, or craft

The glare goes to the darkness showing the player where mobs can spawn. The allay picks up one type of item of the player choose from the ground. The copper golem interacts with copper buttons and slowly becomes old.

I’m scared of something like the Elytra vote happening again, where we didn’t know there was going to be an ocean update, so we didn’t vote for the ocean mob.

The Glare is so adorable! Probably my favorite. Though, it would be good to get more things to use copper for. And since they only randomly press COPPER buttons you just make things with copper buttons you want pressed and non-copper buttons you don't want pressed. If copper golems can do what iron golems do, it could help if you want to use your iron for something else.

I think the Glare would've been more useful for detecting light level 7 areas, but since it got changed to 0 I think the Glare becomes a lot less useful.

Copper Golem is my favorite, it adds a decent use for Copper besides just spyglass and lightning rod. Other than building material Copper is basically useless currently

I am voting for the copper golem for a few reasons that I will list below: -Can be used as a redstone activator since it has the ability to press copper buttons. By doing this, you have a few options. One is to make a quick and easy randomizer. Two is you can give it just one button and it will activate machines for you when you can't do it yourself. By having a mob that presses a button, there are tons of creative uses for that. -The rod on its head has been confirmed to be a functioning lightning rod, which is one of a couple ways to deoxidize the golem. -The golem can be deoxidized with an axe or lightning. -You can build these guys anywhere you choose with copper which is very easy to obtain in large numbers. This brings more of a convenience compared to the other two mobs that have to be found somewhere in the world. -They add a new copper button to the game. -When fully oxidized, they can act as statues, which we may or may not be able to place wherever we want, making them work as a decorative piece to your builds.

Basically, the vote is between a living F3 feature, a living hopper, or a living randomizer. Personally, I want the golem. Hopper sorters are really easy to make, and darkness isn’t an issue unless your making a farm, and even then it’s fairly easy to figure out yourself. But randomizers can be really complicated and take a lot of resources, so having a simpler one could be really nice. Plus it gives a new use for copper, which we don’t have a ton of right now. Plus, when it’s oxidized, it might be a neat sculpture or set piece. And the allay doesn’t break anything, it only collects items on the ground of the same exact type of item. Give it seeds, it gets the seeds off the ground, give it coal, it collects loose coal, not break blocks.

The 3 mobs in a nutshell: a mob whos gimmick got worse due to light level update, a friendly vex who could be very overpowered and dances, and a mini golem that pushes buttons and will eventually power down.

Copper golem for the vote allay sounds amazing but doubt it will mine or generate items you want it to give. Plus copper golem means being able to make a creature that could work systems for you such as farms and traps making you able to make automatic systems.

I hope the allay wins, it looks really cute and seems helpful. All three new mobs and remind me of pets in terraria haha

8:30 the reason why Mojang came up with the Glare is because they don't people having to use the debug screen to check every single block in their house, mines, or whatever is mob proof. The problem is also Bedrock Edition does not have the debug screen so no checking the light levels to easily there. Still doesn't match up to the potential the other two have though.

Problems I see with each: Glare - Basically does nothing, as it stands. You can do this yourself. F3 exists if you want to be absolutely sure about light levels. Allay - Basically a micromanaging mob. It only picks up items on the ground? It only delivers to noteblocks, not you? AND it drops all items upon delivery so you have to keep giving it an item each time? You'll spend more time interacting with the mob than you would cleaning up all the items yourself. Copper Golem - Only presses buttons? RNG generator sounds nice for the big brain people, but I'll never make complex redstone stuff, ever. Same with most, I fear. I just like the idea of populating my base with little humanoid minions. How I think you could improve each: Glare - Um... Make it easy to tame and move around? Like how you can tell dogs to sit so its not just always wandering around I guess? Perhaps if it remains happy enough (in light long enough) it'll give you items of some kind...? idk. Still just kind of a useless mob idea overall. Design is kinda cute I guess? Allay - Allow them to take items from chests outside a certain radius from noteblocks and deposit them into chests within a certain radius near noteblocks. Placing a sign on a chest will tell the allay to ignore it. And, allow them to have an inventory so that you can give them one or more items for them to always fetch, instead of you having to hand them only one item manually every time. Copper golem - Allow them to activate more than just copper buttons. Copper plates? Copper levers? And allow you to perhaps mark paths with copper blocks that the golems prefer to travel on, so you can sort of make a "route" to activate things in a certain order if desired, rather than always random. What do you guys think? As it stands with the information we know, I think the glare is utterly useless, the allay is borderline useless and requires micromanagement, and the golem only does one boring thing, but at least it has its uses. I'd vote golem, personally.

I wish wolves scare skeletons and cats scared creepers again. Make the wolf faster, have more health and do more damage. It can barely handle a zombie and skeletons destroy them in bedrock. Also more fur colors would be cool, and the wolf is so slow that it has to teleport to catch up with the players and it kills itself if you dare to go mining with it.

I just want a copper golem so that I can say “Press the button Kronk!” And have it actually do something. That is the only reason.

Honestly, I'm surprised that they're doing another mob vote after what happened last time. I thought for sure the community tearing itself apart over a fucking squid would be enough for Mojang to decide not to do it anymore.

I just want more golems in the game. I love the idea of making a friend out of normally inanimate materials and if the copper golem is the next step to that sign me up. If it wins I'm totally sticking it in a room lined with TNT cannons so it can just fire off at people whenever it feels like it.

My one thing about the allay is that if it’s not implemented correctly (i give you phantoms and the glow squid) it might just be stupid, while the copper golem will be cool whether it does anything or not. But if it’s done right the allay will be the coolest by far.

I completely agree with you about the Glare. It solves an issue that wasn't really an issue in the first place. As for the other two, I have a bit more to say. As a redstoner, the first thing that I did when reading about the Copper Golem is think about the redstone applications. I feel like the redstone community (or at least the small group I interact with) have been wanting something like this for a long time. The ability to automate redstone inputs that's a bit less consistent (and potentially laggy) than a clock. Plus it looks like it would make randomizers really easy. Just throw it in a room full of copper buttons. However, I agree that the lack of information makes me hesitant to vote for it. Can it be programmed? Does it wander freely, or will it stay in one area? How far will it detect copper buttons? What does oxidizing entail? All these questions make it difficult to be excited for. My biggest fear is that, like the oxidized golem in the teaser, is that oxidized golems will be immobile (I assume you would fix it by hitting it with lightning) which would completely negate it's purpose as an autonomous redstone machine, as it would need constant monitoring to keep it from shutting down For the Allay, again there are lots of questions, but they aren't nearly as important to have answered for me. Can it mine? Will it be able to interact with functional blocks? For example, if I give it an Iron Block, will it go and mine iron, smelt the iron, and then craft it into a block, or can it only pick up blocks of iron that are already dropped on the ground. Again I have the question of effective range. How far will it go to find a note block? Does it have a preferred note block, or will it just go to the closest one? How far does it go to collect, and will it automatically detect when more of it's item exist, or will it need to be given a new command each time? Even if it just picks up dropped entities, I can still see plenty of use. No longer will you need a million hoppers for your auto-megafarms. Smash all the wheat with water, then have the Allay pick it all up and drop it next to a noteblock where it is picked up by hoppers, and if it can do even more, the possibilities grow. Ultimately, the Copper Golem fills a particularly niche role, and I don't even know if it will fit that role very well, so my vote will go to the Allay unless they give us more information during the event.

The copper golem sounds like it could be nice to have for adventure maps. Like you are on one side of a glass wall and see a button on the other side but have no way to get to that side to press the button, then you see materials for a copper golem and a small window where you could place it on the other side. That window might not even have the size of one block through which you technically could get through, but for example half a block with a slab.

I would personally vote for the copper golem simply because copper has too few uses in this current stage, and being able to randomly set off restone contraptions could be useful.

The Allay being abled to be controlled by note blocks is soo cool and unique. I understand why people like the Golem and is loved I can definitely see why people want that but the Allay seems far too interesting and helpful to me.

here is why you should vote for each one 1. Gare. This is the 1.18 caves and cliffs update, and the glare looks like an azalea so it is perfect for moss builds, and lush caves. it has no actual use but my vote goes to glare because it's an amazing cute azalea-looking mob for nature-like builds. 2. Ally. I personally don't really like the ally because it's confirmed that it can only pick up dropped items and probably has a small inventory but here is why it's good: 1. you can steal ur friend's items if he is bragging to u and putting them on the floor. 2. good for collecting ONLY andesite/cobble/diorite from a long mining trip 3. saplings early game, 4. possibly easy sorting system? also it just looks cute and dances cute 3. Copper Gollum. we already have Redstone randomizers, but in a lot of situations, it's more stressful, or cute if a copper golem is the randomizer, also it is really cute and a good lots-of-health pet to have. oxidized Gollums will make great statues for a survival base. also, if you put a dispenser with an axe in it and a copper button, the Gollum will have its own little shower because axes take off oxidization. also, it would be cute to have a pet Redstoner. If you put him in a little Redstone base, he could turn on and off lamps, he could use ur contraptions, he/a lot of them could make music

Honestly, one of the reason I like the Allay (aside from its appearance) is the role it would probably play in Mincrafts world. Souls are supposed to have something to do with Minecraft lore, as we have the Vex (some form of evil spirit), soul sand, and the use of souls in Minecraft Dungeons. It makes sense to have a form of a soul that is not either evil or a sort of battery.

Here's the thing. I like that Mojang is trying to implement utility mobs in this particular instance. But I feel like they don't add enough quality of life features in general. And when I say that I mean stuff that's been added in mods that should be features that got added in 1.12 or earlier. And I'm specifically talking about features like being able to right click to harvest, and being able to sort inventory or shift click inventory to move large amount of items from one spot to another.

It has been confirmed on twitter by the developers that the allay can't break blocks or duplicate items or access chests. This kind of makes it a lot less useful than I first expected so I'm personally going to choose the golem.

The theme seems to be based more on utility rather than pet. Also sounds like copper golems would come with copper buttons, so having an more uses for copper would be nice.

Ok I’m thinking of the pluses and minuses of each mob Glare ---pros--- Find light levels (good for bedrock) Looks cute (Maybe you can jump on top of it like a block) ---cons--- That’s about it nothing too extraordinary (late game useless) Could get annoying if they spawn in a cave where there is nothing but darkness Allay ---pros--- Can gather items of the same type (i.e. stop farm leakage like sugarcane) Looks like a vex (maybe fly through walls?) ---cons--- It only seems to bring them to the player, no chest interaction (fill inventory and then hoppers maybe?) I would bet you have to reset their item after they bring said item back to you It looks like a vex (ptsd) Golem ---pros--- Iron golems little bro Mobs that actively try to interact with redstone Moveable lightning rods? ---cons--- Seems to only interact randomly (Looks about 1.5 blocks tall dont know if this is good or bad) All in all I am for the allay. I still think we need to see more of their capabilities for each mob Feel free to make corrections to my list/ theorize what other applications these mobs may have

As someone who does a lot of building, I actually like the glare. I don't like to ruin my aesthetics by placing a bunch of random torches all over the place when they're not needed, and yeah there's the debug screen, but with the size of my builds I personally find it annoying to walk over pretty much every tile to find a dark patch when I can just have a little buddy tell me if there's an issue. I like the allay too though, it's a cool idea just to have a cute little music loving helper, but I think it would have been nice to know more about how it works. If it just picks up items that are for some reason just laying on the floor, I don't see why that's any more helpful than just putting stuff in a chest or collecting items with hoppers. I guess that way you wouldn't have to worry about concealing long chains of hoppers, but music blocks aren't exactly aesthetically pleasing either, and presumably there would still need to be some hoppers somewhere anyway, otherwise it would just drop them on the ground and they would despawn. Maybe they could be used to deliver items back home if you're away, assuming they would be able to follow you, but presumably that would only be useful for short distances while the chunks with the note blocks are loaded.

I'm fine with either allay or copper golem, but im gonna be voting for the copper golem cuz i like the idea of building futuristic builds and then inhabiting it with tonnes upon tonnes of golems, also mom golem and baby golem v cute. I love allays too man this is HARD!

Copper Golem could've just been wandering around your world, eventually oxidizing and freezing in place and then being resurrected during a thunderstorm after being struck by lightning. It would've essentially been this awesome immortal being going through its life cycle over and over again.

As long as it is set so the Allay can't pick up blocks placed by a player or piston etc then it's the best. I don't want a multiplayer world where someone gives it planks and suddenly my floor is gone as it took mine.

For me, the copper golem is the right choice, because it becomes a decoration for all sorts of different possible builds. It'll only press COPPER buttons, so just don't have those specifically at golem height areas, and I believe that on reddit, someone confirmed that they could be waxed, allowing for customization in the randomizers, so long as you want to do a little bit of math (so long as oxidization does slow it down in stages like I suspect). But yea, all three seem cool.

on the website it gives much more detail about the copper golem talking about how (subtly talking about) it will not attack you "specifically" and that same paragraph also talks about an army of copper golems meaning (i think) that they are just smaller versions of iron golems plus Redstone and a lifespan (and from the lightning rod I think they can get a jumpstart after they die of age when struck by lightning... so don't leave it underground or under a roof) :)

As far as I can tell, the Allay is the commonly preferred candidate and I definitely agree with that consensus.

Think about all the builds you can make with the copper golems, not only when they are alive but when they are static. Would be perfect for a dwarfish mining ruin. Especially with the new cave update
