Hurt people hurt others..I can relate. One of the worst things was when I had struggled to get into WITS University and was asking my mom to sign a NSFAS form for me.She refused and said she wished I could fail and get expelled from the university. She also said that she wished I could get mad and go about picking papers in the street like a mad person,I was shattered.BUT GOD is awesome I managed to finish record time.Today I raise children with love and they are successful because I encourage them and pray for them.My daughter is 22 and finishing her Master's degree in Environmental Science at WITS...To GOD be the glory! What meant to hurt me...made me STRONG

Families need to stop demonising women for not falling pregnant. It's not always the womans fault. Maybe the trauma and insults she suffered prior to having children played a role in how she raised her children. I think some people can't cope with motherhood. This was hard to listen to. "God is able to give you a new character" well said sisi. Congratulations on your book. I'll get a copy.

I agree with you 💯. Our culture has always been so oppressive towards women and its unfortunate that even today that is still continuing. As men we should also really learn to love our women and stop promising them heaven and earth only to break their hearts

There is a woman in our hood who we know she specialist with calling social workers if you mistreat your child, quietly you will see social workers paying you a visit today I have a great respect for her.Now I understand why she is doing that .I wish mmeThelma had neighbours like her.Let us not turn a blind eye lets report these to social workers .As black people let us normalise going for counselling now almost all villages have clinics go and ask they will help. Not being able to bear children should not devalue you as a woman ,these name calling has sent many to early graves cos you see and feel like a failure.Thank you for sharing mmeThelma God bless you and may your book do well evn internationally.

Narcissists never apologise as they are in broken consciousness...even if they see they are wrong... Their ego will not allow them. She will justify her actions and say coz l am the elder and wena ungumntwana... So I can do whatever l want with you. Mentality of abantu abadala.

This is very bad. Its very clear that her anger towards you and your siblings was a direct result of physical abuse she received from the community. She failed to seek counseling and it later on had a huge impact on her. The physical abuse which she directed towards you and your siblings was just a way of her to experience a short healing and comfort.

Please forgive our mothers , they didn't know better

Yhooo this is heavy and painful.. To those who know different, let's help other moms get the help they need to raise children without hurting them because they were hurt and never healed. This is painful to hear about and an eye opener. Some people will ridicule you for saying your mother abuses, because a mother should be the one to protect you. These things are still happening in 2021.. Lord, help us be a blessing to each other 🙏 I pray for mama for her testimony to help many families heal and may she find healing she needs in Jesus name, Amen.

I feel this way about my friend, she abuses her daughter. I don’t know how to tell her.

@@LM-he7eb share such content with her, that's how I indirectly influence biblical behavior with my circle. Unfortunately she might not even notice the abuse she is causing. Pray for her and also find moments to gently bring awareness
