I just got a bikini from H&M which doesn't have that elastic (double lined) and is a mid high rise. But the cut is made so that the highest point is at the side of the leg and at the bum it goes down again so that it covers it fully. m2.hm.com/m/nl_nl/productpage.0684341001.html I did have a different top. For my fellow curvy girls with hip dips!: •high waisted •low leg cut •solid colors ( may help hide hipdip) •if there is some detail - ruffles on the side, ( as long as they don't stick out) bunched fabric on the side- help with hipdips I hope this helps!!!

Agree, I love the retro style bottoms that are high waisted with low legs. I think they are very flattering. I’m 42 now though so I don’t want my butt cheeks hanging out and the low leg cut makes me feel comfortable. Plus the style seems flattering on all body sizes.

Stop shaving, either wax or sugar. Laser if you can afford it. Exfoliate everyday with a sugar scrub, target has a great line of them by the tree hut but you can always make your own with raw sugar and oils. And like someone already said, moisturize with aloe vera. You’ll see results in as little as a month, trust me.

exactly my thoughts. I don't understand why people hate their shoulders. I did gymnastics as a kid so my shoulders started to grow and now when I am wearing dresses or swimsuits people tell me you have such wide shoulders with sorrow and I am like yeah and I am proud I have them. Your videos have literally changed my whole view of myself. I used to hate so much how I look and I felt like nothing looked good on me and bikinis were just a thing that I didn't even bother to even try on anymore because I just simply thought that my body won't look good in a bikini and I need to just accept that fact. Oh my gosh. Let me just appreciate you - I got here from searching about waxing video and got to yours then saw this one. I honestly admire and respect you for how raw and honest you are with sharing everything! And this has got to be the best and most honest anddd well covered bikini 101 video! I have broad shoulders too, and you even talked about the armpit fat that shows up with the wrong top! Always a problem for me somehow! Thank you Alexandra!! thankyou so so much...I don't wear bikini as such but this has given me an idea for how to shop for my body type(general clothing)...that broad shoulders tip is really great and I never realised about small prints...thanks a bunch...Can you please do a video just of tips and tricks for shopping clothes in general...according to body type...Please...Your videos are really helpful. Me too. Shaving leaves red bumps for days and then crazy ingrowns.

You could try to wax or bleach if you don’t have an reaction. Also if you shave get a high quality razor or bikini trimmers and use lotion after that really helps me with bumps!

Use Peelings and more moisturkher. Try to wax or use smth that pulls out the hair instead of trimming it I also had the same problem but things r betting better.

I stopped wearing bikinis around 8th grade when I started getting stretch marks at the tops of my thighs and I felt less confident about my body. But seeing your confidence and the way you rock those bikinis has got me wanting to go out and find some cute new swimsuits. Thanks for the tips, I love your channel.

I'm just discovering your channel and I have to say that your videos are amazing and unique. A lot of tips in fashion and what to wear are "you shouldn't wear this" "this is ugly" but yours are not about style, they are about feeling good in our clothes and then having style because we are more confident. There should be more videos like this, explaining and showing why something is good looking or not. Keep up, please *___*

MUCH NEED THANK YOU!! For this whole time I thought my body was ugly but I found out it was just the wrong fit. I have a very curvy body and my swim suit now fits weird around my thighs/ hips. My swim suit has that cheap tight elastic around my thigh part and it looks very unflattering:/ I also love your videos so much, they are very helpful and I see you as my older sister or even mom ahahah. Now I know what to get! Thank you so much♡

From my experience, cheap never looks good! If the fabric is too thin, it will never keep the model as it is.

The only reason I don’t wear bikinis is bc when I swim, I SWIM. So anything that has any sort of risk of aiming undone or coming off when I swim is a no-go.

*I didn't realize that I wasn't dressing properly for summer until about a year ago, so I never really hated my body: I hated the swimsuits. bc GOOD GRAVY OF LIFE I chose some horrible looking bikinis (at least for me anyways) to wear in my younger teen years!!* 20 yrs old and finally I saw the light :')
