Patriots fan here, been watching since the 60’s … that loss hurts the most in my memory. But I respect the Mannings so much, total class acts all of them. They deserved any success they worked for. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the other team. The Giants earned both those SB victories, as much as it kills me to say it.

I mean, minus the 5 no-calls for holding on the Helmet Catch, but sure. Eli hung in there and gutted it out, but more importantly the Giants' front four in '07 just played an absolutely incredible game. They earned that win, sure, but the Helmet Catch should've been called back. Who knows what happens from there, though.

the big thing for the giants was they played the pats in week 17 that year. they had faced off only like 4 or 5 weeks prior to the Super Bowl and the giants played them incredibly tough. that game gave them the confidence that they could win. if they hadn’t faced off during the regular season, it may have been a different story

Massachusetts sports fans are the best at supporting their team and the most passionate. I think the Giants and Ravens were the only two teams that ppl thought had a chance to beat the Pats that year because of their defenses. The Giants had 4-5 legit high level pass rushers on the d-line. So they could get pressure with 4 and drop 7 in coverage every time. They really dominated the line of scrimmage in that Superbowl and Eli pulled a rabbit out of his ass and won the game. I loved it even though I'm a washington fan

I hate Eli. But at the same time I love his awkward thing he has going on, it's pretty funny and he knows it and just embraces it.

Eli winning both those Superbowls feels just wrong I think Brady could handle it better if he beat them in the second Superbowl

As a fan, yeah, that game still hurts. But good for the Giants.
