So, I’m in the US. McDonald’s is running an anime campaign for this spicy sauce. There is a comic/manga? on the bag. “WcDonald’s Sauce!?! Grab the nuggets.” I really hope there’s a 100¥ store t-shirt with the saying “grab the nuggets” on it.

Did they really write WcDonald's in their own commercial? idk how many customers are getting that joke, you have to have watched a few modern day anime to know that anime always alters brand names slightly^^

Cassette Tapes came back into the indie scene in the US about a decade ago with a lot of new artists releasing cassette versions of their new albums (a lot of Bandcamp artists at least).

Speaking of old media, Japan had a vinyl turntable that played both sides of the disk without flipping and you could skip songs! Only on black vinyl, it’s super cool. 😎🤘🇨🇦🤘

I was a teenager when CDs came in in the mid-late 80's so I remember tapes very well and why any single person would want one is beyond me. They were terrible; constantly chewing the tape, you were forever winding the chewed tape back in with a pencil praying it hadn't ruined the sound, the sound quality was not good, no track skipping which meant sitting there for ages fast fowarding/rewinding simply to actually find the track you wanted to listen to. CDs were invented because tapes were so shite. If you like tapes, you are not old enough to remember using them.

The dairy issue really depends on the food. Say a curry might use oil or a nicer place might use butter for the roux. Pepper lunch uses butter on nearly every dish.Lots of the baked goods and pancake places will be cooked with or served with butter. Miso ramen often has butter. Having cheese is a lot more common today then it used to be. I think it is really easy to avoid dairy, though not non existent.

My brother had the cassette tape of Rick Astley's album that had "Never Gonna Give You Up" on it. It was a genuine hit back in the day. Otherwise we had music on vinyl, far up into the late '90s. My first CD player was in a PC.

@Pete, if you needed a jumpstart on the way to get the MoT, either the alternator is not charging(check with a Multimeter) or the battery is not taking a charge... clean the terminals after months at sea. Alternately, test with a mate's battery to isolate the guilty party.

I started programming on a micro TRS (Tandy Radio Shack) color computer. It had 4 k of RAM while off. Powered on, it had 3.184k. It cost $49.95 in 1985 and if you wanted to save/load from tape, the tape deck cost $59.95

My first cassets were little critters and some other various children's stories that had went with books. I had a few music ones that was a christmas one, a sound track to a ice skating musical and childrens bible songs. There was a childrens detective series that I loved too. I dont really remember getting anything really substantial or cool like Stix or Metalica back then tell way later. I do remember just hating cds when they came out for the longest time though and refused to touch them and "evil dvds" when they came out lol Ive hoarded my old cassets and records, I now have a bunch of more respectable ones in addition to other formats. Yes, I eventually did give in to cds and amassed a little library.

My Japanese Onsen experience was quit a story. Ok I want to Japan in 2002 I was 16yr old male at the time. We want to Japan in January (I highly recommend to go to Japan in the months of November to January) The reason why from my experience is that it's on the off season ie not so busy and not sweltering hot during the summer months. Anyways, back to the Onsen story: I went to a quaint little Onsen in I Kyoto, luckily for me and my family who were travelling at the time had our friend and Japanese exchange Teacher who stayed with us in Australia and so we stayed with her family right near Tokyo. Kiyomi helped us translate to the old lady in the front of the Onsen that I was very body conscious (due to my age being 16 at the time) Kiyomi asked the lady "Can he wear boxers* while being in the Onsen?" The lady retorted: "Oh he can, but it's quite disrespectful in wearing clothes in the Onsen" With that advice I still wore my boxing into the male part of the Onsen. For those who don't know, you have to wash yourself on this tiny chairs beofre going into the Onsen. I was still wearing my boxes at the time and my Dad was next to me who was properly n**ked said to me: "Please son take off your boxes*" I was very reluctant on taking them off but I eventual did. Once I took them off it was pretty easy going. That was the highlight of the Japan trip.

Most onsens I've been to are nice hang-outs. And then there was a more popular one I visited... 60+ men went dead quiet and started staring as I entered. When I was washing the whispering started up. After 10 minutes in one of the baths I decided to get up and leave as I couldn't look up due to the awkwardness of meeting stares no matter where I landed my gaze. As the sliding doors to the changing room closed behind me, it was like I turned a switch and everyone went into full chatter-mode. Etiquette goes both ways, but less so in rural areas.

My sento faux pah was being wasted and talking to strangers. I remember thinking they were very receptive at the time but I'm sure they were just shocked a random foreigner was yammering away at them drunkenly in Japanese. There was no problem overall but I look back on it with awkwardness. I sadly never went back and it closed down. It was my local sento too.

Someone else probably already said it but there are more then one cat island also they don't always look like they came out of a war ^^V depends a lot on the time of the year you go there like in Winter chances are high that lots of them are ill but in Summer they usually look rather good especially as the people on the Islands usually feed them well. I went to Aoshima in Ehime and to TashiroJima and both are nice in their own way. Also I think there are more than enough Rabbits on Okunoshima but again also it depends a lot on what time you go. if you are lucky the island is full of baby rabbits ^^ Not an island but its also similar with the Fox Village, depending on when you go the foxes look really bad and lots of people are like "you should not go there, its animal cruelty" but when I was there the foxes all looked very healthy and most of them where completely relaxed. They did have a few in cages which isn't really good but they explained that they either had illnesses or had some trouble getting along with the other foxes so it makes sense that they take those out at least for a while.

I had a very awkward and embarrassing moment on myself back when I was 9 years old. My dad loves saunas so he decided to take me with him to this new gym near us. We we're a year into being in the UK and as north Africans we keep our private parts well... Private.. we walked in to the area with the sauna and cold dipping water wearing shorts and with some towels... As my dad opened the steam room.. 2 adult men came out of the steam completely naked with everything dangling.. I was shocked I slipped backwards and my dad covered my eyes as I stood up. We left and just didn't talk much about it 😂😂😂 it was fucking weird man, just walking in public completely naked...

An MOT is a yearly test for cars over 3 years old. It checks to make sure that the car is road worthy. It is a legal requirement. In the UK, in order to drive a car legally, you need: - Valid MOT certificate - Car insurance - Road tax Luckily, it's now all digitalised but back in the day, you had to be able to produce the documents. I hope that this helps
