This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I've kept my hair long for a while now. I got the 4A/4B type of hair, so different from yours, but just needed a visual of a number 8, because I want to regrow evenly. I've had barber's trim it up by eyeballing it and I'm beginning to notice it is not even at all. Thank you for sharing and keeping the video up!

I did this the other day. 8 Guage does not cut close to the scalp but doesn't leave enough hair to style. 2 to 3 weeks after cutting with a 8 Guage you will gave just enough hair to 'somewhat' style.

It would be good to see what it looks like if he had long hair to begin with

I would have loved to have been there, and you had me sitting in a chair using the #2 guard on the clippers cutting all my hair a 1/4 of an inch long, then cutting the back and sides with your clippers and no guard all the way up a little bit higher than the poridal ridge, all the way around from side to side, and I would just sit there enjoying every minute of it while you're cutting it the way I described.
