Thank you so much. Sadly, so much news about politics treats it like some sporting event! Passing legislation is a game. Elections are the super bowl. Which team will win????? It doesnt lead to really nuanced accurate fact reporting.

I sure hope so! The US is already behind on Climate legislation. It'd be nice to catch up at least.

I dunno, I care about how the rich are bleeding working people dry, how various minorities such as migrants and LGBT folk still face discrimination, etc. That said, climate change and environmentalism are also essential issues to address for, you know, all of humankind to stay alive.

@Andrea Agree, plus referring to people as sheep gives the impression of a nutjob conspiracy theorist shouting "wake up sheeple!". Liked the comment anyways because it cannot be stated enough how much power corporations have over people's perceptions of reality (both from the media and otherwise), and use those perceptions to personally benefit themselves. A great example of this is how a corporation convinced the entirety of America that diamonds were not only valuable, but also important for their personal relationships. They can insert themselves, their product, and their agenda (infinite growth) wherever they damn well please.

@@-d_9894 It reminds me of that meme, "you are not immune to propaganda." The "sheep" aren't a different, mindless kind of people, they simply fell victim to the mass manipulation, because it was designed to position people in favor of the wealthy and powerful.
