Marbles in the feed will make them curious, you can also dunk their beaks in water a few times. they also should be on raised wire until they're a few months old.

Girl! Wow! Awesome information! I am moving to Kansas and will have some land to work with. I will be binge watching your videos in my spare time. I am so ready for this adventure and to teach my kids everything I already know, and we will learn all of the new things together. Thank you for doing these. You are a gem! 💜

I incubated 4 eggs, but candling showed that only 1 was fertile. Luckily I had 2 chicken eggs in the incubator too, so my peachick got a company after hatching, and because chicks were about 1 week older they already knew how to eat/drink and taught the peachick to do it as well. The peachick even trying to get food from chick's beaks like from mama peahen. So cute. :)

Thanks for the update!!! I just used my finger to tap at the water and food to get them to eat and drink, But in the first day and second day before i took it out of the incubator it was very week, so as I do with any of my other birds I took some chick crumb and soaked it in warm water, until it became a paste, I then put it into a syringe and hand fed it, I believe that with the boost of protein it supplied my peachick with energy and it bounced back and it has so much energy now and it’s growing day by day!!! It started eating after only one syringe of the soaked chick crumb!

I don't understand, can't the mum teach them to drink and eat? Are they taken too early from the mum?
