In what appears to be his first major interview with a media platform, ALHAJI SADIQ ABACHA, one of the scions of the dynasty of late Nigerian Strong man and military leader, General Sani Abacha opened up to Asabe Afrika TV in Abuja, Nigeria's federal capital city, recently.
SADIQ ABACHA, a very shy young-man who hardly grant press interviews gave us the rare privilege to speak with him during a private ceremony inside his mother's private residence in Abuja.
An NGO, Empowerment of the Fallen Heroes' Wives and Children Initiatives had given a posthumous award to his late dad. His mum and other members of the family wore their best mood and received guests from all walks of life during the ceremony.
Find out more about Sadiq Abacha in this new clip.
Enjoy!

Abacha still remain one of my best leader in Nigeria. This man called Abacha maintained Nigeria currency for five years without shaking. When the outside world were criticizing, doing all propaganda to pull him down he stood his ground and kept moving the country forward. The fall of the country and corruption started with one man from Yoruba land ITT. Most of you criticizing Abacha should go back and read history about ITT and stop tarnishing someone's image.

This 'journalist' is a sorry excuse for an interviewer. One of the reasons we're down as a society. There were a lot of opportunities to ask hardball questions that was ignored by him. The son talked of Abacha's 'legacies'. The reporter could have done a much more decent job like asking what those legacies were. He also talked of Abiola attending his 8th birthday party. I fail to see that connection with Abiola languishing in jail for trying to claim his mandate. Abacha damaged lives, acted as a kleptomaniac; and there is reason why a sizeable number of Nigerians and the international community consider Abacha as a madman. The reporter could ask if tables were turned, and Abiola arrested his dad (Abacha); would Abiola frequenting the Abacha household compensate for the wretched treatment. Asabe Afrika TV, you need to go back to journalism school; though I doubt you ever attended one in the first place.

Sadiq, use this Ramadan to seek Allah’s forgiveness and mercy for your father, rather than wasting your time to polish the image of a man who extensively suffered a country and its innocent population. Your family and comrades were claiming that your father was noble and flawless, and that he never looted; but where are all the repatriated millions coming from?! Brother, ask your mother and siblings and call upon men of knowledge and TAQWAH (God’s piety) to help sincerely beg the deprived citizens of Nigeria and then seek God’s favor, mercy and forgiveness for your father. Do this if truly you love your dad. Remember, no mercy, forgiveness and pardon for your father until he is pardoned by the millions of Nigerians he economically deprived and wasted. He has no sin against Allah, but he has something huge between him and millions of the deprived millions of Nigerians.

A great interview. I am from the southeast and in today's Nigeria, many expect me to be anti-Sani Abacha. Capital No! your father was a man of few words but a lot of action!!! He was an up-right Man. He had the interest of Nigerians at heart but as usual, any African leader that made the interest of his or her people a priority do not last. Check the history book. I remembered when an IBO man was beheaded in Kano, Your father of (the blessed memory) ordered a swift action against those behind the killing which 99.99 percent Nigerians aren't aware up to date they were hunted and eliminated but unfortunately, one of the masterminds survived. The moment Sani Abacha died, a significant percent of Nigerian pride passed on with him. I didn't mean he is a sent, but I can tell you wholeheartedly, I was more a Nigerian when he was president than. Ask people that traveled the world during his regime.

Evils are evils... birds of same feathers. Thieves, deceits and fake opportunists. Innocent victims and helpless masses, both the dead and living are watching. Karma will always be available to all, where ever one may be.....

What the hell heck do we need to know about your father other than the fact that he killed Kenule Tsaro_Wiwa, then MKO, and other unmentioned names. And further, contributed to the mess and musical chairs rotation of Northern Hausa/Fulani hegemony a precipitate of the current quagmire of rot going on in what is wrongly known as Nigeria. Chew that.
