omfg I remember a few months where they had to do that at my middle school (before realizing it as ineffective and just causing kids to go off-campus to smoke, so they had to do different things), and it’s just like, you won’t station guards outside of the restrooms to keep kids from getting RAPED but oohhhh vaping, nnnnnn, that’s just, it’s OVER THEN LINE man,,,,, so fucking done with public schools and also listening to politicians who don’t give a damn about girls’ safety, kids’ safety, anyone but their benefactors’ safety, trying to say literally anything is “a danger to the kids” as a reason why it shouldn’t be allowed. The week before there was supposedly TWELVE fights (from what I heard and it was at least 4 ppl got trampled in the halls) two ppl were arrested and one of my teachers was threatened. Apparently some kid on TikTok at my school had threatened the school with a gun. I also had to report my substitute for saying we deserved to die and she doesn’t care about us 😐 Good times in America 😀👍

oh it’s the same at my school. 2 bomb threats last year, they had to take the ceiling tiles out of the bathroom in places where u could climb up on toilets/countertops to hide vapes/knives, we stayed in 4th period for the rest of the day one time cuz a kid put a gun in his __ period teacher’s filing cabinet, sooooo many fights, lunch, transitions, after school, one of the lasts days of school during release there was a fight between two guys and two of our THREE police officers pulled them away, one kid reached back and grabbed the officers gun so the other kid was let go to get the gun kid, he ended up getting tased.

@@vladmordred9627 one thing i do is that i refer to them as "friend" or "sir" For example we have had guest at our house for a week now and i don't know any of their names even though we live in the same house so i just call them "friend" or "aunt" Obviously this doesn't work everytime so when i have to specifically refer to someone i go "hey let's go ummmmm whatever your name is" in a joking manner and it doesn't get awkward and when it does i just go like "i am sorry but i am bad at remembering names" and a sane person understands it.

Lol at our senior awards ceremony the campus officer literally went on for like 15 minutes about how well he got to know our class because we were always starting shit 😂 He even named several people specifically (didn’t SAY the specifics of why he “knew them so well” but we all knew) including the kid who got 3 DUIs before he graduated

My grade has gotten the reputation of the worst class in the school and we all take great pride in this. We have been told by several teachers how terrible we all are and that we have gotten this reputation

After like the third one in a week once the janitors worked the whole weekend to rid the bathroom stalls of graffiti.

I'm from the Netherlands where we get to smoke weed and drink from the age of 18. Also people are allowed to have like one weed plant at home for personal use. Before 2014 we were allowed to drink at the age of 16. I always thought it was funny that the age of drinking and car driving was flipped in the US and our country. I also thought it was better to learn how to handle drinking before being able to drive. Now the age is 18 for almost everything in the Netherlands, which is still fine I guess.

@@bread1133 its a yearly test or tests youre required to take to "prove" youre ready for the next grade. except theyre absolutely pointless because the failing grade is like 30 or 40 something so nobody really fails unless they just didnt do it but schools make a super big deal about it. but the amount of tests and subjects for the staar change per year.

Dam I was out here for them TAKS test. So glad I never took those, they seemed like bs. Once I did flunk an exam bcuz my alarm went off so yea they took it seriously.

One at my former middle school while I was in high school was made with baking soda and vinegar and didn't even work. Me and my friends are into pyrotechnics(within reason and in mc ofc) and even made our own from scratch for fun on the 4th so needless to say we were disappointed in the attempt. Especially the intended use.

sorry for how this is gonna be in advance, but i'm brazilian and this happens all the time. it's not even a matter of not getting expelled, it's not getting punished. at all. in 1st grade, a kid threw a soft lunchbox at me. you'd think that's ok, but there was a very hard pot (i think it was made of metal!) inside. i told a teacher and she told me that since it was a boy who did it, he was just trying to get my attention. in 5th grade, in P.E, this girl (note that she was 1 year older than me and really big) with anger issues punched my arm. it ached for 10 minutes. we were directed to talk to the staff, but the kid, yet again, wasn't punished at all. they just told her to not do it again "if" she did. they kept doubting me and asking if i was sure it wasn't an accident. i think schools just need to trust kids more.

I kid tried smashing my skull in with a boulder as big as my head and he wasn't even kicked off the track team lmao It all started bc he was bullying some friends of mine for being gay too ☠️
