I’ve had nothing but success with mine, I now have 2 pairs and just purchased the new skylar for my wife. Full Ai here in USA works amazingly well.

I have had them for months now. I love them. I have them for POV shots in collab with me x4 and OP3. The reframe 16:9 is usable in some situation. 1min recoding limit was ideal but the updated 3min is very much welcomed.

Love your editing, turning on the glasses, and fad into next shot, and turning the glasses off smooth as silk. thx

I purchased these and I love them. They do everything and beyond what my expectations were but the one shortcoming is I wore these to a tennis tournament in Indian Wells California during March and they would not work because of the heat. I got an error message saying the glasses were too hot. I contacted Meta and Rayband And they both confirmed that the sunglasses were not work, if it is too hot that's an oxymoron isn't it? Sunglasses not working in the heat but at the end I really enjoy wearing them to the point. I was wearing them today.

Tamara, I am very grateful that you have done this review of the glasses, from a true content creator's point of view. I have been hlding out to get a pair of these, mainly to use when i'm djing, to capture footage, from my own POV, to add with my OP3 footage. Now I may reconsider, mainly due to the record time, as 3 minutes isn't a lot for me, when doing a set. Looking forward to future updates they do, as I'll reconsider buying them.

One thing that I was wondering but havent heard anyone speak on which maybe you could help me know more, is there a stitch option. What I mean, is there an option to do like instagram stories, or snapchat, where I record what I have done through the day, and the app will put all those together so that I could save all in one video?

Love your work Tamara.. I'm just so put off my Meta and its policy to steal all publicly posted content to train their Ai systems i don't think I'll ever be able to buy/use their products. Especially seeing giving access to all your contacts. I'm wanting no Meta in my life rather than giving them more access to my life by wearing them on my face.

Hey! I just got my pair today, super excited and your review was amazing!!! If you have an eye doctor, they may be able to help you with the issue where the glasses slip by rounding down the part behind your ears. Mine did it and it helped the fit so much! (I bought my Meta Glasses directly from the eye doctor so the adjustment was free, but they might charge you for yours. They did it in the office just like for regular glasses though!)

Does it use gyro flow, whats the stabilization like, I notice a limp whenever you walk, but on a different level, its a nice pair of glasses , nice vid, nice personality.

I'm waiting for these all these smart glasses to use bone conduction technology for audio like shokz headphones.

About the glasses falling off: funnily enough, I literally just helped my mum with the exact situation with a pair of glasses, and that's getting silicone grips that slide onto the arm of the glasses and hold them up behind your ear. They're very cheap on the bay of Es, and my mum was rather chuffed, haha.

I’m not sure if mine is set up differently, but I think I have the default settings. I just tap the side of the glasses once to have it listen, and then start asking it questions. There’s no need to say Hey Meta, or use a separate listening device.

Just what I needed to know, thanku for sharing. I’ve worn glasses for 30 years and that slipping down thing is a real big deal. Finding glasses that fit is such a ‘HUGE’ deal for wearing them everyday, particularly in the warmer months. I was thinking of waiting for the next gen and from your review that’s confirmed it. Insightful, they look interesting to try, by the way I was in Tbilisi a couple weeks ago, awesome place, amazing views, and great food, enjoyed the Kinkhali mostly, I noticed some Tbilisi scenery on your video.

That's the camera I most use now when I go out or on vacation. Rayban Meta changed the way I capture moments.

i got mine from ebay. All the feature works except switching to camera glasses when live streaming via ig or fb. Tried every trouble shooting tips but nothing works, it just won't let me use the camera of the glasses to live stream.

Hi Tamara, I can't find a video on the web that has zoomed the RayBan footage into landscape and then enhanced it with Topaz? Do you use Topaz and, if so, could you see if it upscales OK? Thanks

so I just ordered these last night and im now watching this. this is the first ive heard its gone up to 3 mins which is good, however I do know I made the mistake of not getting the transitional lens however my main question is can we just order spare lens? when it comes to recording I feel like im only going to use them shooting shorts. but worried how the fit will be. thank you for this video!!!

Good review and I'd agree with most of what you said. I put foam pads on the bridge and these help to stop them sliding down. I just haven't found any pads that will last longer than a few days yet. I'm in the uk and they did enable the "look and... " to mine with the recent update with the 3 minute clips.

I like them! Though, I don't use any of the smart features. I feel like I'm 'connected' enough as it is, with my iPhone and Apple Watch constantly on me. So I never bother with the "Hey, Meta...." stuff. I solely use them for bluetooth music/podcasts, and taking photos and videos - and sunglasses, obviously. They're perfect for grabbing a quick shot of something, without having to fiddle with getting my phone out of my pocket, and swiping to camera mode, etc etc. Let alone taking something out of my backpack. I was recently in Japan, and got surrounded by crows wanting some food in a park. The glasses were perfect for quick shots and clips, as a simple tap on the arm could get me recording. Despite having me surrounded, they were skiddish. If I had to get out my phone, and fiddle with it, I'm sure many of them would've left. They're actually great sunglasses too! Though, I felt limited as only being able to use them in bright conditions, so I ordered a pair of transitions that automatically get dark or whatever in sunlight. But I've not been back to the States to pick them up yet. I'll probably sell this sunglasses-only pair.

It seems like another one of those things they've released a bit too early and haven't thought properly about people's needs. I see it looks like there are 2 cameras? What's the other lens for if it's not a camera? Light sensor?

What worked for me is to use Pixel watch as my assistant with the Meta glasses. Meta AI just isn't near Google assistant yet

I love mine. I am in the USA and I have to say the full AI experience is quite good. I am getting them fitted with prescription transition lenses. The camera is more of an eye for me for the AI, but if I had one feature request it would be horizontal video. The audio is good also. Once they are no longer sunglasses I will use the for meeting calls and such. Hopefully at the Meta event in September they will introduce some new features.

Is it me or are the file sizes of the videos really large! I found that exporting the clips to my iPhone ate up my memory so much that I had to upgrade my iCloud storage. 🤨 I have decided to return it as the size I got didn't fit properly and can't seem to get a size that fits properly. what. shame.

You may have solved this already but I was recommended anti-slip wax for my RayBans because they kept slipping down my nose. :)

Can you take a phone call through the glasses or just listen to music?

Every creeps dream and a godsend to the walking day dreamers. Even when i travel at 5am the zombies are broken necked and fully emerced in their phones and walking around blindly into danger and missing actual life. Folks can't even read the sky above them & that is crazy to me. The fact that i never ever tap in while in transit, im aware of everything because all my senses are engaged, all i see are zombies

Just got a pair. Wish I’d seen your video first, but the outcome would have been the same. Keeper. I’ve got transitions so it expands the usage range. I like the ability to always have a camera to hand without messing around with a phone. I also wish we had AI, but hopefully we will get it. Also your optician should be able to put in prescription transitions

I think people are expecting some revolutionary thing out of these glasses. I love mine. Only thing I agree with is the camera placement could’ve been better, but these things are good money to me. I’ve been having a blast with them. Also I just ordered my prescription lenses so I can use them daily.

I wanted to get these, but decided not to. Insurance only covered a little bit and I just was worried about the weight of the frames. Glad they did increase the video time that was another reason I was reluctant to get them.

What brand are the glasses you have on at the beginning?

It would be good if we could disable LED while shooting. Unnecessarily getting attention from random people would stress me at outside or risk of being stolen from your head if people know that it's something valuable.

Just a small comment. You can record up to 3 minuts now. Great sunglasses, i just got the wayfarer model. I found a way to get the new AI working outside US 😉 No you do not have et travel to the states (that is an option) if you start over in the app and connect to a vpn after you have connected the glasses, the AI works. That's it 😁 now you just say "hey Meta, look and tell me what you see" That is so cool and usefull
