Richard Thomas is still traveling on a national tour of To Kill a Mockingbird as Atticus Finch. Google him and you will find newspaper articles stating the same. The latest one dated only a few DAYS ago.

Know matter what we will always love john boy richard Thomas. It was so sad to here about his motor bike accident and what happened to him. Im so glad that the angels was with him on that day and quick thinking took over. Gosbless him and we wish him the best. Xx

I met Richard Thomas when he was working in Theatre in London , I was working at Fortnum & Mason London and he frequented F&M daily for Lunch , I found him to be a lovely man and he would have conversation with me , he told me he was waiting for his wife to arrive in London and she would be with him very soon to do a tour of London , I will always remember him as a kind, warm human being ,& I pray he is doing ok after his accident in 2023 .Godbless him 🙏✝️❤️

I have always enjoyed this young man. I did not know he had been in an accident had I had known earlier. I would have been praying for the young man I love when God hears my prayers. I will pray for him and his family regardless of whether we see him now or not. I hope you find this message

My parents and met Richard Thomas at the Walton reunion in Virginia. I found him, along as his wife, beautiful inside and out. He was so gracious and loving. I left, feeling so enlightened. He is so genuine, caring, and an overall beautiful soul. I was blessed to meet such a beautiful person.

Was there some possible life insurance policy on him that would grant his family more security in finances upon his death maybe? I personally do not know but just asking and wondering. I liked various aspects of his acting career and he seemed like a great guy but i never met him in person but either way i hope his family and loved ones are safe and able to pull together in spite of what could be going on.

Really? Several shows substituted a new actor for a character whose portrayer died, was fired, or simply outgrew the part. "Darrin" in "Bewitched" comes to mind. The original, Dick York, (replaced by Dick Sargent) is reported to have had back problems; several from the 'Daytime Dramas/Soap Operas' popular in mid-20th century America, and, of course, stage actors. Then there's Robert Morse in "How to Succeed in Business (Without Really Trying)", a role pirtrayed in this century by Daniel Radcliffe of "Harry Potter" fame...etc.
