Today we are taking a closer look at what remains of the Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando, FL! The Nick Hotel operated from 2005-2018 and was everything you could imagine a Nick Hotel would be. Characters, Themed Suites, Live Shows and even SLIME! Sadly not much of the former theme remains but we are set to find exactly what remains on this episode! Let's take a closer look!

I had my birthday party at Nick Hotel for 3 years in a row when I was a kid. So many memories, it may have been a bit rundown at the end but it was a special place

@@worldofmicah Does anyone remember Jeff Foxworthys BBQ restaurant in Kissimmee? It was next to where Fun Spot is now. I remember it in the late 90’s but can’t seem to find any pictures of it anywhere on the internet 🤷🏻‍♂️

We took our kids there back in 2010. We stayed there during our Universal/Seaworld part of our vacation. We spent a week or so. The kid loved it, they got slimed more than once. Thanks for sharing Micah!!!

Yep my daughter was 10 years old and we flew into Orlando and drove right by it headed too All Stars Movies for a week of Christmas at WDW, Emily my daughter lite up when she saw it... She was definitely a Blues Clues fan, 3 years later spent a week at the Swan with Emily and her best friend Shaye... Now I'm a Grandpa, Life is short Just Do It....

We took our daughter when she was about 7, we stayed in a Sponge Bob suite. It wasn’t early on when it had been opened may be a year or 2; it was great place then.

Two of Nickeleodeon’s popular shows in the early days, “Double Dare” and “You Can’t Do That On Television”, were not originally produced by Nickelodoen. “Double Dare” was originally a local Philadelphia area show. “YCDTOTV” was a Canadian show. they aired in syndication.

I remember looking at staying here in 2007/2008 time frame with the family. It was quite expensive. You could have stayed on Disney property at a mod or value resort for the same money. Also, the word was that the resort had quality issues, It just wasn't worth the money. We ended up staying elsewhere.

This brought back memories! We had a family vacation here back in 2006. My boys are now 16, 18, 20 years old and remember this vacation like it was yesterday! They loved it and had the best time! Thank you for the memories!

I used to work as a lifeguard at the Nick Hotel from April 2014 to Septemeber 2018 it was definitely an experience like no other

I took my kids 3 years before they closed . It was very expensive for what it was . But for what we spend there we could have done Disney .

I've been there before back in like 2009-2010 maybe it was a long time ago and that was maybe the best summer of my life. Me and my brother were so happy and excited staying there on vacation and our room was Jimmy Neutron themed which is my favorite Nickelodeon show so that just made the vacation 10x better, I remember meeting Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, Dora, and I believe Jimmy Neutron as well so my childhood dream was pretty much complete. Also we got slimed and saw two 4D shows which were Spongebob and Dora as well so it was just a blast

Took my kid to the HI: Waterpark. Never had the chance to go when it was Nickelodeon, but thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. I hate that it's still closed due to pandemic, but as soon as it opens back up, I'm there! Hopefully Nickelodeon will buy it back and rebrand it or something. I miss the old Nick days...80s and 90s!

Awesome vlog! Being a NickNerd I have stayed here several times with my kids. We did the water park, sliming, individual slime for my son’s birthday, character breakfast, meet & greets, 4D theater, laser beam maze, and my favorite: watching Double Dare Live every night. My family did not want to be contestants, though. ❤️❤️

When i was a kid i always seen it on Nickelodeon chanel, and always wanted to go, but never did😞 thankfully i had a daughter, and i was able to take her there on vacation, it was a fun day, we did the 2 charictor dining , teenage muten turtles and Nickelodeon gang.

Stayed Once whenI was younger, It was a lot of Fun. They had 2 water parks, Our Room was in front of the smaller one, Which really was just a Pool with a couple of slides and the other was the one with the big bucket, We loved that one. I was hoping to one day take my kids, but it closed. Hope it comes back one day.

Friends of ours stayed there in the 90's. They hated it. The rooms were not sound proof so you could hear kids screaming 24/7. The rooms were small and the employees were rude.

Stayed at the hotel in 2009 with our 4 year old, had a blast and it was cheap about 90 bucks a night. Sorry to see it’s gone.

I stayed there in 2011 for my 11th birthday. I got slimed, stayed in a jimmy neutron room, had a slime cupcake, and got athlete's foot in the waterpark lol. I went to universal too

Real reason why the hotel was rebranded back was because nick ended the holiday inn contract and switched to carisma hotel and since the contract expired holiday inn had gave the suite a overhaul to remove all nick brand and update equipment.

I worked there when it opened, where u found Jimmy neutron the mall that's where I worked the long white fence was the entrance for food deliveries and smoke area that mall area had it all i worked 3pm to 11 in the nick Cafe I still have my badge sadly I only worked there for 8 months as I was 18 yr old no car and had to walk ho.e on I 4 got home almost at 5am but great memories and I alwaysbtalk about this place glad u made this video wish I can go to Florida this summer its been 12 years since I've been there hope its still open so I can go down memory lane lol thanks man

I went for my twins siblings birthday multiple times as a kid I even went during the 10 year celebration and they brought out a giant cake and all the characters and it was a big party filled with slime and cake. I have so many memories and secrets about this place its crazy!

And now that Holiday Inn sits empty. I recently moved to the Orlando area and my complex is right up the road from that hotel. So sad to see it just sit there collecting dust. Also, I think they kept the green numbering because Holiday Inn’s color scheme is blue and green

I have never stayed at the Nick Hotel, but I have driven by it after missing my turn and turned around in the hotel parking area. I saw a video claiming that one of the reasons the hotel was closed because it was expensive and that in order to get more value for your money it was better to do all the activities on the property the mall, shows, etc. That left little money to go to Disney, Universal. That could be one reason. I can send you the video link if you would like. The video did say the bucket remains it was just painted blue.

I think new owner of the Nickelodeon : MTV Networks ( Viacom - Paramount ) , my guess is they say close it down

I worked there for several years. The new ownwership and managment company are clowns, and I left just after renovations were completed and they starting flying the Holiday Inn flag. Seeing them shut down for Covid rather than trying like most other resorts in the area was not suprising. Saddenning, but not suprising. Hundreds lost their jobs. It was a distressed property that was grossly mismanaged.

The problem wasn't it's proximity to Disney, the problem was that they were charging exorbitant prices for Holiday Inn amenities.

From what I herd from other people the rooms were horrible to stay in. The beds were awful, the walls were not sound proof, and some places were not kept up.

No, they haven't reopened to the public since the initial shut down of everything last year.

They are open, for about 100 a day plus 49 resort fee plus parking fee..

There’s a time capsule at that resort maybe one day that time capsule will be revealed in the near future.

I might have passed by the Nick hotel a few times when I was in Orlando. I would have liked to have gone in there. There were a plethora of factors contributing to the rebrand, including Nickelodeon striking up a deal with Karisma Hotels to build a new Nick themed hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the hotel falling into disrepair and several other things. It would be cool if Nickelodeon came back to Orlando in some form...fat chance, though.

Thanks for filming this video unfortunately I didn’t get to film it when I was there last year in 2020 I didn’t get the chance to but I filmed it two times I did in 2019 & 2018 I heard they went bankrupt the holiday in I guess that’s why it’s shut down still because of the whole coronavirus I don’t know if they’re opening up but I did hear something that they filed bankruptcy
