I visited then-USSR as a teenager in the late 1980s. The students I talked to were very similar to the people you are interviewing now. Very clear that the problems between Russians and Americans were political, and there was no animosity between the people of the two countries. I also remember being told the Russian joke ‘there is no Truth in News and no News in Truth’ (the two official newspapers back then).

@@Lioness_UTV Its somewhat propaganda yeah, cause the author doesn't explain the difference. There is nothing wrong with freedom tbh. You can say anything about military, government or any other subject on public. You can express your opinion free enough. The law is working on different levels, and ppl just do not understand the true mechanics of it. Well yeah, ppl in russia acutally do not know their laws, cause dont give a f*ck. And its really true. It depends on your position if you work on social media. Personally i do not see anything awful in that law (Except 15 years of prison). The information itself must be objective and trustworthy. Its a job of any social media to inform the citizens what is going on in the world. The amount of the dirty information these days is so insane, so it could rly affect ppl (especially children). And for your information Russia do not have KZfaq blocked, CNN and BBC is still available for anyone in the country. Not many russians knows english thats for sure, and there is no russian CNN and BBC. But on the other hand EU and USA rly blocked all the pro-russian TV and we all see only 1 sided view of the matter. And EU/USA opinion is absolute. It is a fact that fake news (or propaganda) comes from the both sides and we will never know the truth without proper investigation. But hey, when a russian guys pops up in the chat and tries to express his evidence and thoughts - he got trolled and banned just in instant. Same for Twitter and Facebook removing russian-based posts. And actually i think that the Russian government made right decision to block Instagram and Facebook, cause Meta plays dirty games, and the biggest auditory are children and teens Soz for my bad English boiz.

Thank you. People like you help me to stay sane. Here from every corner I hear that West hates us deeply, and tbh I had this sentiment that everyone hates us, hates me just because Im Russian. And when you start to think like this you become angry easily. And it's also easier to fall for propaganda when you have this vibe. What matters if everybody hates us after all? But seeing people who say words of support, I kinda shake of these propaganda statements. I wish everybody will wake up. I believe love can safe the world.

What ability do the Russian People have to figure out what is true and what is not, if they are closed off to what other nations are saying? If all information is filtered and restricted, even the right to ask questions? Does not that in itself say that the truth is hidden from them? If any government has to isolate its citizens from other information, then whatever that government says must be suspect. The decision to seek peace through violence is driven by emotion. The decision to seek peace through relentless diplomacy is driven by logic: My safety is your safety. The unfortunate truth is the one man who started this war is supported by the silence of several million of his constituents. These thoughts bring me to a song by Chris Cornell: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aN6ootF8uLeRYYE.html "So come pull the sheet over my eyes So I can sleep tonight Despite what I've seen today. I found you guilty of a crime, of sleeping at a time When you should have been wide awake."

how supid and naiv...one man decides everything....there is a thing called history, a thing called past and a thing called geopolitics. us' geopolitical strategy is to destabilize regions to install their government and ensure weapon flow which is crucial to their economy as well as getting ressources. It's all geopolitics. We are now in WWIII if nobody noticed. after the cold war us hegemony was unquestioned for a long time and the could start taking over eastern europe with money and the middle east and africa by force. Their is only russia the fallen empire and china the rising empire in the way of world domination. and from 91 the end of the cold war to 22 for 31 years there was this still unnamed era which has ended now. the US in 2014 took ukraine and russia now takes it back. this is a declaration of war to the us hegemony. world wars start with incidents and are only later when over world war. this is it now. US won't accept that and will never deescalate. and russia feels if we let things as they were or if we die in war, the result is the same, russia's ending. the only way to keep what is left of the empire is to step up now by force. China will wait for now. but they know that when russia falls they are next, so it's highly likely they will support russia till the end. nato dramatically expanded their budget. the west bans russian media, russia bans western media: new iron curtian. Winners write the history. Who's to blame will be decided on the field...geopolitic. The old world will never return. We allready reached the peak. from now on it's downhill for all of us.

The major fault was the Russian population that was too lenient and made a blind eye to an oligarc troupe slide to tyranny using the legal constitutional laws. Like Germany in 1930 to 1933, Hitler was freely elected, then manipulates the constitutional laws to enables him to become a tyrant, and established the nazi regime. Putin made it more slower, but every step to dictatorship had the cumplicity of Russia electorate, nothing more, nothing less.
