I used to drive like an asshole when I was kid. (20’s). I had a big turbo Jetta and my gf, now my wife, was with me. A guy in an S2K decided to chase me and with my wife freaking out my selfish ass played along. A little miscalculation, we touched, and he went spinning at over 80 mph on a busy freeway. I thank god still no one was killed. She told her father and he nearly kicked my ass and would have every right to do so. I’ve never done that shit again. Even on fun canyon runs, it’s 7/10th and never take unnecessary risks.

It’s all good Matt. I remember riding my motorcycle a couple days after a hurricane like a complete idiot and on the way back, it was dark and I took a different way home. Again, like a complete idiot. But I ran into a flooded road that looked normal in the dark, and the bike stopped in standing water. I looked up and saw an uprooted tree and a sunk car with its butt in the air, maybe 20 yards from me. Was able to back it out and ride home. Transmission fluid was milk, but I drained it and washed it out a few times with more oil. Be glad you got off that mountain with the car intact and respect the weather lol. That was my takeaway anyways. Glad you’re ok dude.

Definitely a great example re benefit of PPF. I just recently got mine done earlier this month. It was hard to accept that cost at the time, not knowing if it was worth it (yet) - along with the concern of my brand new car being gone for a week or so. Then worried about workmanship or possibly knifing issues, lol. It being a straight capital purchase right after delivery made me unsure if I made the right call. But this story along with a friend who recently was hit in a parking lot (the PPF saved the paint 100%) and the dent only had to be pulled. Also the amount of kick up that has flown toward me from trucks (even trying to avoid them and moving over a lane) has definitely given me a peace of mind now .

About the Ford GT, especially the latest gen, they are not really made by Ford. They are made by Multimatic - a privately held Canadian corporation that supplies components, systems and engineering services to the global automotive industry. They will also make the upcoming Mustang hyper car - GTD.

I think the perfect definition of a "flying car" is the Deloren from the last scene from Back to the Future as it it takes off and flies through the trees. If it has rotors or wings, it is a helicopter/drone/gyrocopter or airplane.

How did they not bring up Porsche or Subaru when talking about the cylinder counts for 4 and 6? The flat engines were totally missed. I dont think subaru couldve won best 4 cylinder but Porsche shouldve had pull in the 6 cylinder.

I was thinking the same thing. Matt even has his special DeMans 4.5L boxster and they've driven and loved all the GT3 4.0 engines, 3.0 turbo carreras, water-cooled, and smaller mezger engines. Matt even mentions Porsche for 8-cylinder too, 6 didn't dawn on him though lol. as for four cylinder you are right, subies at the very least deserve an honorable mention. Zach had an STi too

my C63 got pelted by hail during a drive through the rockies. no damage immediately visible but at the right angle you could see a bunch of microdents, felt awful so I did full PPF on my 911 that replaced it

I've had to replace the glass mirror on two cheap 10 year old vehicles, they're ridiculously over priced. I just buy plastic mirrors now, they do just as good a job.

I would accept a non-road going/non-wheeled vehicle as a flying car so long as A: it can transport an operator, at least one passenger, and enough luggage to accommodate a grocery store run or an overnight bag. And B: can take off and land without a specialized location, ie, if I'm able to take off from my driveway, land at the grocery store with my roommate, do our grocery shopping, and return directly home, it might not be a car by technical definition, but im fine with the slang term "flying car" being applied to that. Not to an electric heli-taxi that still requires specialized takeoff and landing locations and has a super strict weight limit.

I feel like Matt is a little too close/emotional about Tesla in general. I give big props to Zach for trying to keep it subjective. I love hearing you guys talk car stuff but when the politics kind of slip in it’s not as fun. There are plenty of trucks, cars, and everything in between that have had a net negative for society and just to be clear I’m don’t like the cybertruck or Tesla as a company.

Maybe. But can the following statements be factual? The person behind the IG account seems like a douchbag. The person or persons driving the RSQ8 is driving recklessly with clear lack of care for everyone occupying the same space. The actions, lack of contrition, and related reporting for which Khuri has pleaded guilty are reprehensible. Whether one or three different persons, all seem rather reprehensible. All three cast a bad light on auto enthusiasts. Presuming that he’s on parole, could his PO confirm the owner/driver of the car by talking with the tuner? It wouldn’t be that hard for a PO to connect any dots.
