Morning MY, fired up ole grey yesterday, she been sitting a spell 18 plus months. Anyways she fired up after got second battery jumping it. Wasn't dead battery just like it was the clunky stArter just click,click and i have it on a push button starter way i got it. And its a new starter IDK if its where it sat so long. But got it going and new less than 50 miles national 3k toy carb leaked like a sift. Oh boy🤦🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️ I yi I. Now the Important part i don't have the coins to fix it at this moment in time. So there's my 2 cents on a couple hundred dollar job. Hopefully I'll get it going by spring time. Stay safe have fun too. Keep them new products popping out that wonderful Suzuki mind of yours its a Sammy game changer but you already know that. Hopefully some people read this and subscribe its best thing a Suzuki owner can do or any off-roader for that matter. Get them likes in people lets put MY up where it deserves to be.. number 1 spot.

I did a timing job on my samurai awhile back and replaced the timing cover with a cheap replacement and it was touching the crank timing gear causing it to have trouble starting, once I removed the cover started no problem just something to look out for/ keep in mind if you have to replace the cover for so reason check for clearance haha

For 2 weeks, I have been timing off of 1st cylinder firing, two weeks, Two batteries, now after, new distributor cap, new cables, new plugs and it was #4. Well I have some used spare parts now and motivation to try again tomorrow. Next step was a wiring harness refurb order. I couldnt understand

Glad to help, my pleasure. Appreciative for the moral booster. It’s tougher to run a business this way.

Thank You Again, Myron! The timing for the video couldn't be any better :) I waited to start working on the Samurai after getting the van up and going and I got to take it back home to the woods :) and now I just got back to my moms tonight and got the Factory Service Manual from the internet :) Now I have to confidence to start in on the Samurai after watching this video :) Got some right stuff and excited to start finding the oil leaks like the dip stick o ring and hopefully the cam and crankshaft seals are good and I can get the new water pump and oil pump in :) I'll be rambling with you soon when I need to order more parts :) Thank you for taking the time to make these fully radical videos!! very much appreciated :)

Another great video Myron. I'm delighted to see these videos so frequently now. It's early in the morning here in Thailand, and a great way to start the day. As I'm sipping my morning brew, comfortably enjoying the fact my three Zuks are about about 15 feet away in my shop, waiting for me to continue my restomods, largely around your products.

Thanks so much. This is what I've been looking for.There are many other videos out there, but only trust the guy who is into Samurai's as much as you. Trying to get a 1986 suzuki samurai 1.3 ( pretty much stock) as reliable as i possibly can. So far, only lite 4 wheeling here in Pahrump, Nevada. ( mountain trails and dry lake beds). Thanks again Myron. If you have a suggested parts list for me, much appreciated.

Hallo My. I purchased a high compression rebuild kit from Trailgear. The Pistons are 2.0 oversize. Make is NJ PISTONS. What should be the bore size clearance for the Pistons and where should the Pistons be measured? Also what would you recommend for clearance if we Turbo charge the 1.3 Samurai engine? Thank you in advance. Wessel
@Zuksoffroad3 күн бұрын
What compression ratio? I prefer not to use anything over 10 to one. 9.5 and 9.7 are ok to use. Your machine shop would know how much to bore cylinder over factory dimension. Put 5-6k miles on and then turbo. Do not build it for putting turbo on from zero miles.
